My husband and I have been at Capital City Fitness since June 2019. We participated in The Murph on Memorial Day then tried the classes for a week. We were hooked right away. Mike, the owner and head coach, has so much energy and knowledge. The training sessions are instructor led (by Mike or one of the other amazing coaches) and can be modified to make the moves more or less challenging. Not only are the workouts great, but the group is awesome. Members encourage each other, inside and outside the gym. We are also actively involved in our surrounding community. And we talk about nutrition, sleep, water, and goals. We are in the best shape we have been in and we owe it to Mike and his team. We can't say enough good things about Capital City Fitness!

Capital City Performance continues to be a guiding force as I deal with the highs and lows of life. All the coaches meet me where I am at in my fitness and wellness journey. I train here as a form of self-care. The nutrition advice is realistic and moderation with ALL food is encouraged! I am so grateful I found this community!

I was already working out regularly at home before I joined 6 months ago and thought I was doing pretty well, but Capital City has provided the encouraging group atmosphere that has pushed me to improve my fitness even further. I didn’t necessarily have much weight to lose when I started, but within the first 3 months my body fat percentage decreased by 2% and I can see a significant difference in my endurance and strength. All the coaches are great, and the owner, Coach Mike has a particular gift of meeting each person where they’re at and lifting them up with encouragement and kindness. I love the atmosphere he’s created among the members and the opportunities to do things for the community along the way. At home I just worked out to get it done and over with, but now I look forward to the workouts and miss them when I’m not able to attend.

The moment we walked in the door on our first day, we were greeted by coaches and all of the class attendees who introduced themselves and looked happy to be there! From that day forward, all of the coaches have shown interest in learning who I am and what my goals are. The needs vary for all of us and modifications are offered to up your game or tone it down. There is a big sense of community and family that I love. I now look forward to getting out of bed early to head to the gym – a new experience for me. Above all, I appreciate Coach Mike Bevard’s care and willingness to help me navigate my #1 concern which is long term pelvic floor care after a PF injury 5 years ago. I am down 20 pounds and 4 dress sizes and upped my muscle mass by 6.6% in less than 9 months. Thank you Capital City coaches and fellow warriors for being amazing!

I have been to several gyms in town and I have never felt as motivated, encouraged or equipped as I do training at Capital City Fitness. It is unlike any other “gym”! Excellent coaching & realistic nutrition assistance are a given, but they also do an incredible job at demonstrating & stressing the importance of correct form & always provide modifications if you need them. Having fit ranks & several challenges to push ourselves ensures it never gets boring & there’s always something to strive for or get better at! I also love the life-encouragement at the end of each training session & how they love to give back to the community whether through raising money or serving hands on! Which leads me to the people… The community at Capital City is unlike any other! Everyone is so genuinely helpful & encouraging, and are like a 2nd family!

Been going to this gym for about 7 months now and has made a huge impact on my life. Every workout is unique, every workout is a challenge, and every workout is the best way to start my day. Fun group of coaches and warriors, great variety of equipment, and several programs and challenges throughout the month all make it an excellent community to be part of. Highly recommend!

I have been training with Mike Bevard, who founded Capital City Fitness and Performance since 2006. My fitness journey started with physical weakness due to multiple surgeries for possible breast and uterine cancer risks which I avoided with medical intervention, the constancy of physical training and a healthy lifestyle. The coaching staff at Capital City Fitness and Performance reinforce a healthy lifestyle which is crucial to my on-going health and strength. I have many friends through this gym that are valuable to me. My current fitness journey includes age-related osteoporosis, but training with Mike and the other coaches, I am able to keep this risk low. My doctor told me yesterday that the physical exertion I do in and out of the gym and the weight training I experience weekly at Capital City Fitness greatly help to keep osteoporosis damage risk low. Training with Capital City Fitness and Performance is a way of life for me and I value it greatly. It's fun to be fit and healthy.

After going through some life changes, I made the decision to seek out a gym that was close to something I had belonged to in the past that was very motivating and encouraging and brought me to become the most fit I had ever been in my entire life. It's hard to find a gym like that...where the trainers and workout friends are just as invested in you as you are in yourself. I have found such a place again! Capital City Fitness!! It's a great feeling to belong to a gym where you walk in and are greeted by your trainer and your workout crew, encouraged and challenged to do the hard work and then celebrated when you hit a PR or a goal you've been working towards. At times, life is heavy and messy. I was looking for a workout community. I found what I was looking for and more! Every weekday morning at 5 a.m., my workout friends and trainers set me up to be the best me I can be! I am so grateful for Capital City Fitness!

I was back home visiting over Christmas and since I do TFW in Spokane I reached out to Mike and he let me come do a class while back. Mike is a great coach and the members that were in the class I did were so awesome and motivating. This gym is great and I highly recommend them!
