Joslyn Art Museum was a gift to the people of Omaha from Sarah Joslyn in memory of her husband, George. From its first day, November 29, 1931, to today, the Museum has welcomed millions of visitors from around the world. The Joslyn's collection of over 12,000 objects represents 5,000 years of human creativity and the world's diverse cultures. The campus comprises three stunning buildings—distinct yet connected—surrounded by sculpture gardens. Learning and engagement opportunities abound, and general admission is free to all, always. Visitors can explore the museum's impressive art collection, including sculptures by renowned artists like Rodin and Degas, as well as oil paintings by Monet and Bouguereau. The museum also hosts engaging lectures and exhibitions, such as the recent "Dripping Earth" by artist Cannupa Hanska Luger. Reviewers describe the Joslyn Art Museum as "incredible" in terms of the staff's dedication, the informative displays, and the overall art experience. With its beautiful architecture, well-maintained facilities, and free admission, the Joslyn Art Museum is a must-visit destination for art enthusiasts in Omaha.
The coffee is surprisingly good and 3.50$ for a cappuccino instead of gouging. Plenty of seats if you get tired and wheelchair accessibility.
