“A little gem in the desert! Golden Gate Petro has plenty of parking and easy access from the freeway. Outside, you find plenty of fuel pumps. Inside you’ll find one of the best fast food chicken places I’ve ever eaten, a soda fountain with plenty of options, clean and well stocked restrooms and helpful employees.”
“Was on the road for 18 hours and had a bit more to go to make it to Reno from there, however this place had the best bathroom and store that I've seen on the road. Staff were very friendly and seems like they are working hard to turn it around it seems. Definitely recommend it!”

“I've been running the i-80 for many years, and I finally stopped in here. I had an enchanting time real late at night. They were still serving food at like 1:00 or 2:00 in the morning. The drinks were only $3.75 Cuervo and orange juice. I haven't seen that price since the '90s. Christina is a great server. This place is going to be another reason why I like Nevada. A person ain't going to find three drinks, a huevos rancheros, a charming atmosphere at one or two in the morning for $21 anywhere.”

“Chevrons cheeseburgers are amazing this is the best burger in town! Sorry, but no one else can make a cheeseburger this freakin good. Plus the people that work there and the owner are so kind, thank you for your amazing efforts! Big fact by the way! If your cheeseburger is just slightly pink that’s just not your preference period. it IS cooked it’s not undercooked. It’s perfect. (This photo it was not pink but still an amazing cheeseburger) 10/10”

“We had to stop on a family vacation since my 7 year old was car sick. I have never purchased a truck stop shower and was pleasantly surprised how clean that it was. Staff was friendly and helpful. The towels were clean and fluffy. We didn't purchase anything other than a shower, but they appeared to have a variety of food and beverages. The truck stop was clean. There is a small casino attached as well.”

“Maverik is hands down the best gas station or convenience store in Battle Mountain. It’s located near the freeway so it’s an easy off to get there. It’s also quite spacious with many different pumps. There are 10 pumps for gas or car diesel and 20 pumps for tractor or semi diesel. Inside it’s spacious and clean and new. There is just about any snack you can think of any drink of soda, energy, drink, juice, milk, coffee, or icee. You can get most supplies and even some alcohol. Outside, they have tables and chair chairs for you to sit and enjoy the weather. They have ice machines, firewood, and even propane. The bathrooms are kept clean and this place has it together. The employees are extremely nice and quite hopeful. If you’re looking for a place to stop in the Nevada desert, this is the place.”
