Great people working. Food selection is okay. Prices are high and the sale items are not always posted nor do they ring up properly - have to watch that. The building is old and the ceiling above the produce section leaks and is falling apart. The floor could use some work as well.

this grocery store is clean and somewat easy to access. there produce always looks good and fresh, although this store is EXTREMELY over priced!
here r some examples~ 12 pack of soda, (coke,pepsi), is priced at $9.85 or so. their meats will drain ur wallet! a beef roast $20 or more, package of "land o frost" lunch meat~roast beef $8.95, "Oscar meyers bologna (small pckg.)~$7,
9 oz. bacon~$7 or more, most any kind of frozen dinners or snacks r $8. pretty much anything else u purchase is going to be $5.00 or more. im not into damaging any establishments reputation its just that at these prices it's difficult to afford. thnk u.

This is a nice enough little grocery store. We usually stop here when we are staying at one of the parks like Kershaw Ryan or Cathedral Gorge. They are priced a little high, but really it's a tiny store in a tiny town. Get your essentials, or your m&m fix, haha.

Checker is nice. But the girl bagging the groceries needs to take a class on proper bagging techniques. Cartons of milk with the bread. Placed in cart on top of fresh fruit. Go to Panaca market it's worth the drive.

This is really the only game in town for groceries when visiting Caliente. Broad offerings but don't expect the big city variety of a mega supermarket. Very friendly and helpful employees.
