The Rodeway Inn Elko Downtown Area is an older motel that provides a generally good room for the price. Reviews consistently note that the rooms are clean and spacious, with specific praise for the nice, big showers, some featuring rain shower heads. The refrigerators in the rooms are highlighted as a particularly good feature, being full-sized with a separate freezer. The front desk service is repeatedly described as excellent, very helpful, kind, and super sweet, with staff accommodating early check-in requests. However, the experience is mixed with several notable drawbacks. A significant and common issue is noise; the walls are described as paper thin, allowing guests to easily hear activity from adjacent rooms and the corridor, which can disturb sleep. The location is semi-quiet with minimal traffic, but nighttime noise from other guests can be a problem. Some rooms can become quite hot, with air conditioners that struggle to cool effectively for hours. Other minor inconveniences include occasional non-working lamps, a strong chemical scent from cleaning products, a weak Wi-Fi signal in some rooms, a tight parking lot, and a very small continental breakfast. A specific point of contention for some is a perceived excessive pet fee. Despite these flaws, many guests find it a great overnight stay, emphasizing its value compared to other motels, and state they would definitely return when traveling through Elko.
Parking lot is a bit tight but otherwise this is a nice place to stay for the price!!! Owner/desk worker was super sweet. They have breakfast too. Will definitely be back if I come through Elko again.

Our room was quite hot when we first opened it, and the air conditioner struggled to cool the room off for many hours, making it hard to sleep. But that is offset by the fact that there is a bottle opener built into the bathroom wall, so all is well

Older motel but rooms were clean. Nice bathroom with big shower and rain shower head. Great for overnight stay. We came when it was very hot but room could have been a little cooler. Owner(?) was very nice.
