Grand Central Motel Ely is an old, retro motel that provides a clean, comfortable, and convenient place to stay. The rooms are very clean with very comfy beds, and are outfitted with amenities like a microwave, a full-size refrigerator, a coffee pot, and a huge TV offering Netflix, Disney+, YouTube, and many other channels. Some rooms feel private and quiet, tucked back in a corner, though they may have little natural light. The check-in process is all remote, using a key pad with a code instead of keys, which is simple, easy, and convenient. The owners are awesome, personable, and very reachable, providing top-tier service and working with guests to make their stay perfect. The motel is pet-friendly, with areas to walk a dog and a dog waste station. Its location is central to downtown, making it easy to walk to restaurants, and it offers separation from the main strip, reducing road noise. A nice bonus is a complimentary breakfast at a nearby restaurant. While some rooms may have an old style or a temporary chemical smell, the motel is a warm, inviting, and amazing stop, highly recommended for anyone needing a place to sleep in Ely.

Stopped in during a cross-country road trip, and, after multiple nights camping, my room at Grand Central was heaven on earth. I felt cozy, safe, and right at home. The bed was comfy and clean. I appreciated the prompt communication with Ian, as well. Would return again if I find myself in Ely on the way back this fall!

Rooms were clean nobody was there working you had to type in the code in order to get to the room which was kind of weird but other than that it's decent place to stay
