The Historian Inn offers a great location in downtown Gardnerville. A beautiful park and walking paths are behind the hotel. Staff were friendly and front desk staff was very friendly. The lobby offers complimentary coffee, tea and doughnuts, a nice touch to start the day. Rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. The AC unit was quite loud and took a while to cool the room. No hair dryer was provided. The hotel is dog friendly and trails back behind where you can walk your pups. Some guests found pillows and comforters smelling bad and breakfast done by 9:45 AM and the promised 11 AM.
