“I highly recommend doing this shoreline tour! A friend and I did this for my birthday today! Perfect weather no boats on the water at 9am! We had crystal clear glass water. The fools gold was neat to see too! Our guide Jason Was fantastic, funny and informative! Josh was also very helpful at the check in and recommended some wonderful hiking and spots to check out after our tour! October is the time to go!”
“Plan to spend some time in the shop. It is crammed full of unique gifts. Looking for a baby gift without eyes that are beads and lo and behold they have the cutest flat and soft toy that is infant safe. Going back on Monday to purchase another one !”

“Very nice gift shop where we found many Christmas gifts (and a few for ourselves!) The staff is very welcoming and friendly, and the items are of good quality, variety, unique, and all at very fair prices. The shopping experience is fun and comfortable - no pressure, and staff is very pleasant and helpful if you have questions. The vibe of this shop is great; I felt instantly "at home" walking in on my first visit. I will be visiting this gem of a gift shop regularly, as it has become my favorite in the area.”

“Loved this little store. Was lured in by the idea of a maker’s market, and it was what I had hoped for. The front of the store was super cute and offered many options for assorted gifts, art supplies, cards. The back of the store held many options of yarn. The entire place was super cute, and the girl behind the counter was so nice.If you are in search of a Tahoe themed gift, locally sourced art or just some little trinkets for stocking stuffers, I would highly recommend this place. They also had some high quality art supplies and crafting kits for people who would be considered ‘beginner.’”

“We stumbled upon this beautiful shop before hitting up Base Camp Pizza! So, so glad we did. We didn't know what we were looking forward, but we love adding to our gallery wall at home. They have a variety of art, ranging from, mountain ranges, lakes, rivers, and cities. After we found what we liked we began talking to Coral. Coral was fantastic!!! She showed us all around the store and telling us how we could make things more customizable if we wanted too. She was extremely helpful, so friendly, and very knowledge about all the art in the store. Definitely would recommend - thank you Coral for an awesome experience!!! :)”
“We Love the Knitting Nest! Lauren is so knowledgeable and friendly. We hadn’t been there since 2019 due to Covid as we live out of state. When we returned in October 2023 Lauren not only remembered projects we were working on but things we discussed in our lives. “Lots to choose from! I needed to return a gift I just bought and they let me switch it out for something else at the same price. There are no refunds at this place. The two ladies who worked there were kind and friendly. My little ones loved their gifts. If you need sunglasses they got um. They have cool magnets as well”
“I'm not normally fond of souvenir shops but this gift shop is different. First off, this place had funny t-shirts that I had not seen anywhere else. Also, they had a great selection of SLT bear trinkets and refrigerator magnets. It's to the right of the huge CVS store so you can't miss it! I was in Reno the day before and I noticed that this place had many of the same items (saying "Tahoe" vs "Reno") but for $1 less. Frankly, I'd jack up the price of Tahoe trinkets more than Reno but they have better marketing, what with that Reno arch and all.”

“Lovely owners. Lovely jewelry and gifts. Fair prices. I purchased some nice artist-made bracelets and French soap while on vacation in Nevada. I like the bracelets so much that I took a photo and emailed the shop to ask if they had any more that I could give as gifts. Sara replied that day with photos of the pieces she had by that artist and gave me prices with a shipping and tax estimate. I phoned and placed the order then received the bracelets wrapped in individual gift bags 2 days later! Don't pass by this lovely little shop in Genoa. It's really special!”
