This place is absolutely incompetent. I waited almost 2 hours to be seen with an appointment. Clearly the front desk staff has no idea what they are doing and even once them realized they had skipped over me several times they did absolutely nothing about it and I continued to wait. This place was by far the worst experience at any office I have ever had.

Writing a review on behalf of my mothers experience with this place. To say the doctors and staff are incompetent is an understatement. I’ve never experienced such lack of compassion and general physician care in my lifetime. It is impossible to get someone on the phone. Dr. Smalls constantly fails to input the prescription code on prescriptions he writes so pharmacies will not fill the prescriptions. The pharmacy cannot get anyone to call them back, neither can we. My mother was in desperate need of an urgent surgery, she needed clearance from her primary, unfortunately Dr. Smalls was her primary. He refused to write her an order for bloodwork without seeing her, and he had no appointments available for months… when he finally wrote her order, her results were returned immediately but it still took him several weeks to submit those results and clearance to the surgeon. My mothers urgent surgery has been delayed almost 4 months because of this offices incompetence. Run far far away from this place. Any good review you find for this place or Dr. Smalls is more than likely a fake review.

Rude staff. I came 35 minutes early for my pre employment 2 pm appointment ,the lady called my name and gave me attitude because I haven't finished my paperwork. She told me that I should've finished filling out my 20 pages paperwork already. I was reading them before signing them . One of the MA told me that they over scheduled people that's why they were so busy. Oh and I had to ask the MA to use a new tourniquet to draw my blood because they don't change tourniquet every patient .

Called to schedule a new patient appointment. 1st lady I spoke with said they have an appointment available around the last week of July. In the middle of registering us for the appointment, the line cut off. No one called me back so I decided to call back. 2nd lady I spoke with now says earliest available appointment is next year. Ridiculous!Update 6/11/23: I got a call regarding what happened and was able to get an earlier appointment. Great response time to resolve the issue. The lady that called me was very nice and showed willingness to help.

Terrible office staff. I was there before my appt time and they said they couldn’t see me due to the fact I wasn’t 30 min early, it took me 6 mos to get in and I had to wait another week. They were so rude and didn’t even care one but I couldn’t be seen. I also can’t even see the same dr I made the appt with they scheduled me with a different dr.

On our last visit. My husband a veteran and a commissioned officer was treated like a criminal. We have been patients of this facility for 7 years. He has packed his weapon into that office everytime we seen our doctor. This time was a awful experience. My husband was getting weighed in and the medical assistant saw his weapon and started freaking out. My husband stated he has his credentials and was an officer. She stated she had to get the office manager. He was coming down the hall yelling at my husband to leave the office. Made my husband feel embarrassed and humiliated. He turned to leave and walked past the front desk and told them not to bill our insurance. They should want an officer in there so if a true criminal came in to harm them that my husband or any other officer would be there to protect the innocent people. Never been so mistreated before and it will be the last time in that facility.

Made an appointment back in October for Friday 2/18. No one called to confirm the appointment. When I inquired- found out the dr no longer works there. No one notified me- nor did they have another doctor scheduled to take over my appointment. Just said- oh- well- we can see when the next appointment might be available. Zero customer service- zero accountability- 5 years olds could run an office better than the jokes working there.

Worst dr office ever. Made an appointment 3 months ago- show up and the Dr nolonger works there. No one called or notified me. Very rude and unprofessional

The doctor i had been seeing since 2007 suddenly was gone My ob/gyn recommended Ashley Major at Jacob's Medical. I called the third week in May and was told the earliest appt would be November 17th...almost 6 months out. Since I wasn't experiencing any problems, and I was happy to have a female dr, I decided to wait. Ladt week my appt was confirmed. Today I get a phone message stating Dr Major was on maternity leave and decided to resign last week. I was told the earliest appt wjth another dr wouldn't be until Feb, 2023 at the Henderson office. When I explained at this time I would be needing my meds to be renewed I was given an appt with a Dr in Summerlin for next Monday at 4:30. I called the phone number given to me as I wanted to know if there was a lab on sight for my anticipated yearly blood work. I called 8 times during the course of the day....their phone rang and then disconnected. I called the Henderson office explained no one answered and would the lab be able to draw my blood after seeing the dr. No was the answer as the lab actually closes earlier than the dr's office. I live 2 hrs from the Henderson office, tack on another 30 minutes to get to Summerlin. Then I would need go to a lab for my draw after fasting from midnight to what 6PM and then drive back to Summerlin ( God knows when that appt would be scheduled) for a followup appt. I worked in a Dr's office and would never be as flippy as the the girl who answered my initial call at the Henderson office. I had to ask if there was an earlier appt at a different location and then not being able to reach anyone in Summerlin....if this was an emergency call I would be in trouble. .If this is how Jacob's Meducal Associates operates I can understand why doctors are resigning and why reviews are so low. I should have looked at reviews on the office itself rather than taking my ob/gyns recommendation for Ashley Major. I have never been treated so badly by a medical team who are supposed to be helping their patients not causing undue stress

Dr. Shoemaker the best. Staff friendly. UPDATE... 9/13/22 office took a total 360. More a business now than a medical office. Shame. Can't rely on receiving a call back in less than 6 days.

I called for an urgent appointment last week and explained to the appointment lady that I needed to see Dr. Loring Jacobs (my family doctor). She told me there was nothing available for the next 30 days and convinced me to schedule a telehealth with the doctor the next day at 3:45 pm. She also insisted that I login at 3:30 so that the doctor can virtually put me in the waiting room and call me asap. I confirmed my email with her and confirmed that they would send me a link to that email. The next day, I was logged in to my email from 3:20 to 4:00 and I never heard from them. I called back twice during the office hours a couple of days later and both times my calls went to live answering service ladies. The second time the lady asked for my information and promised me that I would hear from the doctor's office shortly after. Guess what, I never heard from anyone as of today.I have been their patient for a few years, but I would definitely give them a zero for their services, especially during the last few months.

Tried to have a new patient appointment that I scheduled online. No where in the process of setting up the appointment or receiving a confirmation email did it indicate that you HAVE to be 30 minutes early or you will be marked as a no show. I would understand if that had been communicated, however it wasn't. I was on time. I even got there early, however, the signage on the building makes you think the door leads only to a law group, so I walked around the building a few times before entering. Wouldn't have mattered anyway, because I was only 15 minutes early. My appt was on a Friday, so I'm stuck waiting all weekend without seeing a doctor because they didn't have the courtesy to communicate their expectations. I will not be trying to go back... If they can't communicate even to new patients, I can only imagine the issues you would experience as a repeat patient. They wasted my time and I will not give them my money for poor service from the start.

My wife and I found Loring Jacobs through the realtor that sold us our house in Dec 2011. We began seeing him Jan '12. For 10 yrs he was the best PCP we have ever had and we are seniors. Since Dec '21 and again this past week it is obvious he is not the great PCP we had 10 yrs ago. He seems to not care or something else is going on as he is not focused on his patients anymore. He does not seem to care and just brushes us off. He always insists on blood work every 6 mos. This time he did not even mention it. And his staff is horrible and has never been great but it is real bad now. When I went this past week there were very FEW cars in the parking lot. Usually it is packed. One person inside waiting. I see one physician they had, Goldman left and that is probably because patients are jumping ship because of the lack of care. My wife has found a new PCP and I found one also. Too bad because this was a very good practice at one time.
