No issues with the rental. SUV was a bit older than most rentals I’ve chosen but perfectly in good running condition and fueled and clean.

Great customer service, went out of her way to assist us in renting a car. All our needs were met. Car was very clean. We had a smooth ride.

Just terrible. Here’s why: we booked ahead for an “Intermediate SUV—RAV4 or equivalent”, as we wanted an SUV to drive to Bryce to see snow on the hoodoos, and the forecast was for icy roads. Instead of an intermediate SUV we received a front wheel drive Buick. I asked the man at the counter if it was 4wd and he insisted it was. We got out to the car and it was indeed just a front wheel drive Buick. Wife went back to the counter and asked for the SUV we reneged and the man continued to lie to our face that we were getting a 4wd vehicle. It’s one thing to admit that you are sold out of SUVs (it’s a tough world, I get it) but it’s an entire extra level of insult for the Avis rep to keep lying about the product. Attached is a photo of the rear wheels without any drive axle as proof, and also a photo of the “0% Oil life” on the car we had, not because I care about the maintenance on Avis’s fleet but because it’s a nice metaphor for the 0% Care that this Avis location has. Tip: spend the ~$20 to get an Uber to the airport and rent from not-Avis and you’ll have better selection and a better experience.

I prepaid for my rental car to get a lower fee and make sure I have the car available when I went to pick it up. I returned the car only to find out in an email receipt that I'm actually now paying more for the rental.

Avis parking is in 5th floor of MGM sled parking. No clear signs to park the vehicle causing trouble while return. The counter is located in the MGM resort main lobby.

I rented a vehicle from the Avis MGM Grand location and returned it in less than 24 hours. Three days later I received a text saying I needed to return the vehicle. I called and informed the agent I had already returned it and had proof of the time. She stated it was not my fault but the MGM-Grand Avis location for not completing the paperwork. The next day I receive an email with a receipt showing a charge for an extra day of rental. Again I had to call to correct another Avis error. On the second call I was never once given an apology for the errors and inconvenience of using my time to correct Avis’s errors. I am still waiting for my money to be refunded and hope this problem will quickly be resolved.

I reserved a car for 2 days. The guy at the MGM said it would be $168 total including taxes. Then I find out later that it cost $372. What a scam! I will never use Avis again. I won’t even go back to MGM or any of their hotels. Scammers and liars.

I set a rental from the MGM Grand for 7 AM pickup which was when the stand was supposed to open. I was standing at the counter at 6:45 waiting for them to open because we had a 8:45 tee time in Boulder City the worker from Avis didn’t show up to open the counter until 7:15 then said his system was down and disappeared to the back for 30 mins he finally came back still saying the system was down and that four other customers and myself would have to wait. I said there must be a contingency for the system being down and that I need to get my car to make my tee time. He begrudgingly did a manual rental contract and gave me a set of keys. The keys were for a dodge challenger which was beat up and dirty and only had 3/4 tank of gas. The vehicle was having a few problems as it would stall / die randomly (not auto stop / start) because I would have to put it in park to restart it before I could go! Just not a good rental experience!

A mistake was made to my booking by the agent in LA, and then i went to the office in MGM in Las Vegas and the guy was not helpful and not ready to solve the issue. Then in the airport office an amazing agent was able to provide a car with a bit increase in rent.

Unfortunately, our Avis experience in Vegas was not too good. I reserved a Toyota Camery for our trip. The first issue was that the rep was late. Our reservation was at 0730 but he didn't arrive until closer to 8. At check-in the rep was extremely polite and offered us a free upgrade to an EV. We were given a Genesis G80. Wonderful car! Super fancy and very clean. We loved the car. Upon our inspection we noticed the car wasn't fully charged. This was our first time with an EV car. We asked the rep about getting full power and he assured us it would last the day or so. So we were off. Our plan was to drive to the Hoover damn and then to see the grand canyon. We were able to enjoy the scenic routes and enjoy the damn. About half way to the grand canyon we noticed the car had dipped to 90 miles to charge. Being we were almost 2 hours away we became scared we wouldn't make it back. We searched for a charging station and after a hr found one. It took us another 45 mins to set up an account and begin charging the car. Unbeknownst to us, it takes about 4-5 hours to fully charhe the car. After sitting at a truck stop for 1 hr the car still only had about 100 miles on it. We decided to simply drive back and cancel the rest of our plans. We were both extremely disappointed as we had planned visiting these historic sights as part of our Vegas experience.Upon our return to Avis there was no rep to report this to. We turned the car back in about 4p in the dropbox. We rented the car for 24 hours but was only about to keep it for a about 8-10 hours. I wouldn't completely count Avis out for future trip but they would not be my first choice moving forward. I would give them a second try if someone could attempt to make it right.

Absolutely will not rent from Avis again. The car smelled like sweat most likely because the AC didn’t work right and we were in Las Vegas and it was 110 degrees. Fun times. Can’t believe they would even put a car like this in their fleet. Beware of the Jettas.

Very poor service with the pick up from the MGM grand. Customer service advisor was not very friendly. The car we received was from a lower tier and had major safety issues which affected braking. The air conditioning in the car was not adequate either. Generally a poor experience and would not be hiring from avis in the near future.

Not a single sign of where the drop off area is, I drove around for over an hour. Fyi, it's supposedly on the 5th floor of self-park. What's up Avis, can't afford a few signs?

Hired a car from Avis in Las Vegas, 6 hours in tyre blew in middle of Yosemite. The other tyre (see pics) also worn through to metal wire as was the tyre that blew. We were left stranded over night in Yosemite as Avis failed to be able to assist us. We had to get a taxi ourselves at considerable expense. They have now left us 24 hours without a car, after multiple phone calls and promises. They were supposed to deliver a car to us this morning and now say change of policy they won't deliver. We are stranded mid holiday without a car and have already had lives risked with the car they hired to us and are out of pocket on calls, cabs and loss of holiday time. DO NOT USE THIS DANGEROUS COMPANY
