This experience has been insane. When I first rented from them, they gave me a lock and said If I bought my own, I could return it and get the deposit back.And so I went and bought my own, and when I went to go return it.Nobody was in the office during business hours.The door was locked.I tried to return it for the next six days.No, one was there.No, one answers the phones here.And so I ended up having to pay for a lock that I didn't need, because no one was in the office to even try to help me or let me return the lock. I then try to call them to answer someone my question and they never answer the phone. I have tried to call several times for multiple days.

Great that I can access gate and elevator with my phone. I do see that the grounds and light maintenance need to be up kept, im willing to take the job.

Do not rent from these guys!!! They somehow took my last review down! They are NOT secure! There are homeless people living in them! Homeless people were bringing in bags of food, hmm can you say roaches and other bugs? Tried to tell the manager but she wouldn’t listen. If you want to go to your unit after 6, they will be closed! No carts are ever available. Smoke alarm beeped the whole time I rented from them. They raised the rent from 80.00 to 120.00 after a couple months. Elevators are slow as hell. Just find another company to store your things at.

I ordered a storage unit online. They took $51.66 which $19.99 was for a lock. I didn't need a lock because I already have one. I visited the site twice and was unable to gain access. The office was closed BOTH times. I called and left voice-mail and never received a callback. I called customer service and the only reason I spoke to someone is because I said I wanted to upgrade. I asked for a refund and they said they can refund $9. So I am disputing it with my bank. The charleston public storage is rotten. Not to mention they put notes that stated they called me back and left a voice mail. Which is a straight up LIE. I am going somewhere else for storage. I never gained access to my unit, never received the $19.99 lock I paid for, never one time entered the gate. Crooks!

I had an very pleasant customer service experience when I moved in earlier this week. Let, the woman who was on site that day was extremely helpful in assisting me with an issue I noticed when moving into my unit. The unit in question had a faulty handle. When I relayed my issue to Let, she immediately started looking for another available unit. To my surprise, I was able to upgrade to an even bigger unit, at a really great price! The facility can definitely use some work though. It was very dirty, with discarded belongings strewn around the inside and outside of the building. Hopefully they can hire another worker to clean up the facility while the office worker can assist customers. All in all I loved the customer service here and I am satisfied with my new unit.
