They refurbish bikes (including burning man bikes) and teach kids skills by teaching them how to repair and refurbish bikes. You can even bring your burning man bike back to then after the burn. So burners from out of town who cant fly with a bike, this is a great way to have a bike and leave no trace, not abandon it. Its an excellent program where everyone wins. I brought a bike there that was abandoned at my camp. I saw the sticker on the bike that stated it was from their program. I went to their website and learned about the program and that they will accept a bike back after the event. They also have set up an agreement with several fire dept stations where you can drop off a bike there any time of day and they pick them up weekly. So there are several bike drop off options available 24 hours a day. They make it all so easy! I highly recommend this as a bike Option for anyone be it for burning man or not. A great way to get an affordable bike while supporting a program that teaches kids valuable skills for life. ?

Found a bike for my daughter that was in great shape and had received some nice customizations, including toggle shifters replacing the twist shift. They found me a quick-release for the seat, also. Bike was in great condition, Les was a lot of help, and I met a dog. Will likely be recycling through Kiwanis a while.

I've been coming here and only here long enough to remember when they were out by Parr BLVD. Each time my bike got stolen from DT Reno, they helped me. I enjoy volunteering here because it not only gets my hands dirty but I get to learn how a bike works.

Roger, Wayne, and Helen are awesome. The Kiwanis bike program is so beneficial to the desert goers who cannot bring their own. They met us early so we could pick up all our camp bikes and were so happy to get them, and more, back. And they do so much for the community too!

They found the issue that 2 other shops couldn't. They took the time and were less expensive. They teach. Thank you.

Kiwanis Bikes is a program that gives young people a chance to learn the trade. They sell used bikes that are checked and repairedNice people, just takes a while to get things done.

It is really great to see people doing great things for the community. This organization works to raise money by repairing and selling bikes. They also give bikes to children through local agencies and businesses. I've purchased a few bikes from them in the past and been quite happy. The staff are friendly. Their is a noticeable difference in knowledge between the trainers and the trainees. What I noticed this trip was that a lot of the bikes seemed overpriced. For instance, there was a used bike for $120 that I could buy new at Walmart for $140 (plus tax). I don't know what changed but it didn't feel like a good deal to buy a bike there any longer. Perhaps the Bike Swap is a good option.
