“I rarely shop with Hot Topic anymore because I'm GenX goth/punk, and HT has forgotten the groups that made it what it is, as evidenced by it's super small collection of goth clothes that don't go beyond an XL in size.
Still, William and his two male coworkers on Sunday evening 02/01, were absolutely lovely and super helpful, not easy because I'm very particular on fit and style ....and plus size as many in the alt culture are.
They patiently worked with me, listened to my lamentations of how HT has fallen, and were very helpful with suggestions. They got each garment down for me to look at and were fabulous.

“Needing some UNR clothing for an upcoming football game and realizing I don't own any despite having earned multiple degrees from UNR, I stopped by Silver and Blue knowing I'd be able to find something for myself and my husband. The store is fully stocked and the staff is incredibly helpful. “I stopped in looking for a pair of jeans, and as someone who often struggles to find the right fit, I was having a difficult time and kept accidentally selecting the wrong sizes, making repeated trips between the fitting room and the sales floor. Katie (I believe that was her name) noticed I was having trouble and kindly asked what size I typically wear, then brought several different styles and colors and hung them outside the fitting room so I wouldn’t have to keep going back and forth. Whenever I needed a different size, she immediately got it for me without hesitation. I don’t usually like asking for help, so I truly appreciated that she stepped in when she saw I wasn’t having much luck. I was genuinely impressed by the level of service—not only from Katie, but from every employee I encountered during my visit. Thank you again for such a positive experience!”

“You get what you pay for. It may be a cliche but it is true with Patagonia gear. I have bought a fair share of items over the years and the products have always been top notch. I bought a couple pairs of fleece sweat pants many years ago (could be several decades) and although they have seen their better days the only thing really wrong with them was the drawstring had broken and I had lost the end. I was advised by many to toss them but they are still wearable as loungers or work-around-the house pants. I went on the Patagonia website and they offered a repair service. (Full disclosure: I was embarrassed that I was unable to fix them myself but I did try.) I set up an account, paid a nominal fee that covered the postage and I sent them off. About a month later I got them back fixed and I could not be more happy. The drawstrings were now better than before and they even fixed a missing pull on the back zipper. Patagonia gear is not cheap in price but is just superior quality to the others. Thank you Patagonia!!!! Thank you Patagonia repair employees!!!!!!!!They even sent me a thank you card!!! I have posted a pic of said card!”

The store is located just across Virginia from the UNR Campus. *this location doesn't offer a restroom for customers. Silver and Blue Outfitters has a second location in Reno @ Meadowwood Mall.”

“This is like a year late and I’m not even sure if he still works here, but I wanted to give a shoutout to one of the employees at Levi’s because his customer service was honestly A1 every single time. I believe he had a Hispanic name, and my mom and I used to see him almost every time we came in.
We’re pretty big shoppers there and usually make large purchases, and he was always SO patient, helpful, and kind throughout the whole process. My mom always has a ton of questions about sales, promotions, sizing, and discounts, and he never once seemed annoyed. he was always happy to help and explain everything thoroughly.
Good customer service like that really stands out nowadays. Whoever he is, I hope he’s recognized because employees like that make a huge difference. And if I see him again I will make sure to get his name so I can edit this & give him the proper shout out he deserves!”
