On our tour through Nevadawe visited the Historic Mines Park in Tonopah. It was very interesting to see that. We liked it very much. If you are in the area you should visit it.

The visit to the old mine was very interesting. A highly recommended stop if you pass through Tonopah.

Really cool historical park with both indoor and outdoor exhibits. In the visitor center make sure to check out the florescent minerals exhibit. Wear sensible shoes as there's a lot of walking or book a tour in one of their 4-wheelers. This place is pet friendly but my dog wouldn't walk across the mine bridge as it's an open mesh and you can see way down into the mine.

This place is great!! You can get a map and walk around at your own pace. Can't go into all of the buildings yet but the ones you can go into are pretty cool.I was shocked to see they had to put signs in the bathrooms asking people to not wash their shoes in the sink...what's become of society? This place will probably have you leaving with a whole new respect for how hard life was for the miners.

This was an awesome experience. For $3 you get to explore the mines and ruins at your own pace, and between the paper map and all the signage, one could easily spend 2-3 hours here if you want to see everything. I spend about 45 minutes and felt like I barely scratched the surface (ha) of all the history there is to see here. You can go into some of the buildings to see the old equipment, and metal grates allow you to safely stand directly over DEEP stopes and mine shafts if you are brave enough. Staff are very friendly and have lots of helpful information about the park and the Tonopah area.

We visited the park on Sunday, 6-17-2023. We were greeted by a male docent. He explained the basic layout of the visitor's center. We chose to watch the video. It was outstanding, very informative and very well made. Then we walked the interior and it was amazing. Beautiful displays. I started up a conversation with another Docent, Jeff. He was extremely knowledgeable about the displays as well as the, the entire park, as well as all of Tonopah and its rich mining history. Every question I asked him he could answer with a wealth of information. Overall, the visitor's center was well worth the visit, but the experienced personnel took our experience over the top. I highly recommend visiting this park.

Took a 2 hour tour in an insulated Polaris. The guide was pretty proud of the restoration being done there.

This place is so neat. Stayed at the adjacent hotel and went for a stroll here. Staff is super nice and place isn't packed busy. It was cool to be able to wonder around ourselves. It started to storm 10 min after we started walking (set aside an hour or two to take it all in) and staff said we can visit the next day since we got rained out. Lots of really pretty stones you can buy, lots of cool historical buildings, and objects too. Only reason we cut our tour short was because I have a grasshopper phobia and they were out and about :( this place is so cool though, I'd visit again!

Fascinating place. We've been here twice, and Jeff, the guy we met both times, was super friendly and told fascinating stories about the place. I would strongly recommend taking the tour here. The mining park is deceptively large, so you can spend a fair amount of time wandering around here or taking the tour if you wish.

The place has some amazing mineral specimens and tons of old mining equipment. It's the best bang for the buck in Tonopah and besides the old cemetary by the Clown Motel, is worth the visit if you have the time. Just try to avoid 22F mornings in Feb, when the wind is blowing 40-50mph!

We had a great time. Free museum and only $3 per person for park entry. There is so much to see. The docent was very knowledgeable and helpful and recommended some great spots. The park is huge, we were only there for about an hour but you could easily spend a day here. We only covered a small portion of the park. Great experience, next time we're in town we plan to check out other sections of the park.

Pretty neat place! We watched the 20 min video on the history, which was very interesting. We walked through the museum and took the self guided tour. Great view of the town from the top!
