“In July, we moved our business to Nevada and were so blessed to find the Pine Cone Resort in Zephyr Cove! It’s like stepping back in time; a vintage throwback with all the rustic Tahoe charm you could dream of. Our cabin apartment is warm, cozy, and tucked right in the middle of nature bringing the perfect balance of peace and convenience.
The staff is absolutely amazing. Robert, the owner, and his right-hand Shannon, run the resort with genuine care and top-notch hospitality ! They make you feel like family from day one.
And the location couldn’t be better….only minutes to Nevada Beach, Zephyr Cove Beach, Stateline, and all the great restaurants and shops. We are beyond grateful to have found this hidden Tahoe gem!

“We had a great experience , one as a first timer. The setup and interior are exactly what you'd think of when throwing Axe's. We were walk-ins and were quickly helped and they made room for us. Josh was super cool to talk to and learn from in sharing techniques. We will be back for sure - had a good time.”

“Valhalla is breathtaking — the kind of place that feels made for a love story. From the very start, the Valhalla team made everything feel smooth and manageable; the booking process was easy and straightforward. Everyone we interacted with was so kind, and Meg in particular was wonderful. She was thoughtful, collaborative, responsive, and incredibly easy to work with. No matter how small the question was, she took the time to offer guidance and reassurance. We held both our ceremony and reception indoors, and the space felt cozy and magical. The stone fireplace — almost mythical in appearance — with a glowing fire created the most spectacular atmosphere. The building itself is endlessly enchanting; every corner feels like a discovery. Surrounding the venue, the grounds are beautifully inviting — the edge of the lake, the tall trees, and expansive views create space for quiet moments and truly stunning photographs. Our guests were enchanted by Valhalla — those who had visited before shared how meaningful it felt to return, and those experiencing it for the first time expressed a desire to come back. Valhalla offers something rare: a venue that already holds so much character on its own, yet welcomes personal touches effortlessly. It allowed us to create a wedding that felt entirely ours. It holds a very special place in our hearts, and we’re so appreciative of the wonderful experience we had.”

“Pros: Great location - very walkable. Clean rooms, clean pools. If you like doughnuts, you'll enjoy the breakfast. Nice staff - cute dog in the lobby.

Cons: LOUD. Housekeeping starts working at 7AM, slamming doors, pushing carts, talking loudly, playing music, and they do not stop until nearly midnight. It sucks to be woken up every morning at 7AM while on vacation and kept up because of housekeeping.

Other than the noise issue, we had a good stay. If we stay here again, it will only be if we are guaranteed a room on the opposite side of the building away from housekeeping headquarters.”

“We had the best time celebrating our wedding! The venue is beautiful! Brent was awesome to work, the staff was wonderful, and the food was awesome! We wouldn't change one thing if we could do it all over again; and I wish we could do it again!!!! So much fun!”

“My daughter had her ceremony here in September. You are 100% paying for the view and it is beautiful. Communication with the staff leading up to the wedding was fine. The staff the day of was okay..but we do have a few big complaints. They started taking away the chairs 30 minutes before our time was up..the photos were still being done and in the video all you see is the staff moving all the chairs. There was no wedding after ours so not sure what the big hurry was for the time we had paid for. Several guests had to use a bathroom and walked down the beach to the bathroom and were turned away by the lakeside beach staff saying they were for “guests of the beach”. Our daughter wanted to get just a few photos on the beach before our time slot was even over but you have to pay $30 per person to go on the beach outside of the arch area. That was insane..it was the middle of September at 4:30 pm and the beach was almost empty. We paid $3500 and you would think that would let you have a few minutes at another area on the beach the ceremony spot is attached to.”

“Such a beautiful golf course and the nicest staff members. We played all 18 holes for our friend’s wedding weekend and we had a blast! I never played before so they gave a few tips overall- we tee’d off at 9am and I think we wrapped up by 11:45ish. It rained while playing but it cleared quickly. Sidney came around on the beverage cart and she was amazing too!”

“Marriott is the standard always for me. Not only do they have wonderful care for their owners but overall have great customer service across the board. Tahoe was amazing and we enjoyed our stay here.”

“We enjoyed our time here at Heavenly Valley. Parking was very convenient we were able to park right in front of our room. We had a cute little room with a fire place and kitchenette. It was quite cozy and very clean. The housekeeper Rosy went out of her way to let us know we left a blanket behind and offered to bring it to us next time she was in our home town. Thank you Rosy! I highly recommend if you’re coming to south lake.”
