“An Absolutely Wonderful Stay: Exceptional Hospitality in St. Andrews I absolutely loved my stay at The Treadwell Inn. From the beautiful room and waterfront setting to the genuinely thoughtful hospitality, this was one of those special places that made a lasting impression on me during my road trip. I had been on a waitlist for a room, and Christy was kind enough to keep me in mind and email me when a room became available. Her timing could not have been better, and from the moment I arrived, I felt incredibly well taken care of. I stayed in a Junior King Room with a balcony overlooking the water, and it was wonderful. It was immaculately clean, comfortable and so cozy. Sitting on the balcony and taking in the beautiful water view was such a treat. The location is also perfect for exploring St. Andrews on foot and by bike. I have a feather/down allergy, and I really appreciated that they were able to switch out the bedding and provide feather-free blankets for me. It's a small detail to some, but for those of us who travel with allergies, this level of care makes an enormous difference. Christy also made sure I had a dinner reservation that evening at The Chandler Room, the inn's restaurant, and dinner was delicious. The staff there was exceptional as well. Erin was my server, and she was terrific. She was warm, attentive and made an already lovely evening even better. What really sets The Treadwell Inn apart is the hospitality. There is a warmth and personal attention here that you simply don't find everywhere. I only wish I could have stayed longer. I absolutely loved my time at The Treadwell Inn and in beautiful St. Andrews-by-the-Sea and would return in a heartbeat. If you're looking for a charming, beautifully maintained waterfront inn with wonderful people and an excellent restaurant, this is it. Highly recommend!”

“My favourite place in St Andrews. They have a great deal during the summer of a salmon chowder and lobster rolls for around 30 dollars. Other places charge 30 dollars just for a lobster roll! There was live music outside, and lots of room inside. The burger was also very good and everything was reasonably priced. Great cocktails aswell.”

“What a find! This is a classic retro motor lodge in a spectacular setting. The rooms are large and very comfortable. Wi-fi is fine, but you'll spend most of your time enjoying the view of the St Croix River from your picture window. Bathrooms are smallish and a bit dated, but spotless. One thing to be aware of - dining options in Robbinston are pretty much non-existent. Plan on going to Calais (12 miles) for several places, or head south to Polar Treats in Perry (9 miles), a takeout place with excellent and very reasonable lobster rolls and other sandwiches. The front desk is friendly and the price is right. This is a great spot and we'll be back. BTW, the pic is the view from Room 18.”
