This store is struggling, the last two times I was in this store there was a manager who was a lady and she was very angry. Refused to help an older gentleman in front of me and very rude about it, refused to help someone with fish and then started complaining to me about lack of breaks. It is clear they are short staffed and she told me corporate doesn't give a *!%! , I went back thinking maybe she was just having a bad, overwhelming day as we all do and she was again very blatantly rude. I've only gone to pet smart in Concord since.

Crickets are of decent quality. But there's been a few times now I've been shorted. Just paid for 30, received 16 living and another 20 or so dead. I told her the bag looked light, and that's when she came back with the mostly dead crickets. I wanted to tell her she was an idiot, because they were clearly dead-- but I don't know what it would've accomplished. It's not the $5 and change I'm mad about, it's the hour and a half round trip drive it takes to get there (or anywhere) to buy the crickets. Now I'll have to go back midweek so my gals aren't hungry.

Very pleased with Vetco. Our pup was due for his 3 year Rabies Vac. Well, he is not new to being extremely anxious and nervous...the staff worked with him to make sure he was safe and comfortable during the entire process...the woman was able to get in the shot painlessly and without being obvious to our scared pup. Boop! It was done behind, while I held him.Kudos to the entire team at Concord NH Petco on Fort Eddy.Thanks! I would def. Recommend them for your fur babies.

Store clerk refused to sell me any fish for my new aquarium setup. Backstory: on a lark I decided to revive my childhood hobby of keeping a mid sized fish tank and a handful of fish. So, I drive down to Petco, picked out a tank and chemical supplies, and got it up and running and chemically balanced. Then I went to purchase the fish, and the cashier bluntly told me that they are not for sale. What?! You mean to tell me that I spent 300 f****** dollars on equipment only to be told "we don't have a license to sell fish sir." Are you serious? You literally have walls of fish in the store, and absolutely no signage posted to indicate any problems with "licensing." No, based on how trashy the store looked, how stupid and inexperienced the cashier was, and how sleepy and mute the manager was, I can only reach one conclusion. You were too lazy to get off your fat a** and get me the fish I wanted! I immediately went to Petsmart and had a perfect experience. I was helped promptly by knowledgable staff who were courteous and conversational. If I hadn't already set up my tank I would have returned everything I bought and given all of my business to Petsmart. Good riddance Petco.

Yikes! Dirty store and messy. Workers are dressed sloppy. Went there for a specific item that their website said was in their store and manager acted annoyed that I wanted him to look for it for me. Very poor customer service. Go to Pet Smart instead!

Gave grooming dept one more chance after they screwed me over a few years ago. Made an apt more than 2 weeks ago for my 2 dogs to be groomed. I was told to bring rabies certificates. I said "can you call my vet as you have done in the past in case I for get them?" Guess they were too lazy. Got a few things to juggle these days and ended up forgetting them,shocker. And my vet was closed when they did try to call when I asked her to. ( it was a Sat) They have legit town licenses and rabies tags. She said I could have switched them. Would I really go to so much trouble??. I will never go to a big box pet store again and support local dog stores and groomers instead.

I was at the Manchester store looking for a 55 gallon fish tank "STAND" they didn't have it so they called the concord store which they said they had the 55 gallon "STAND".I drive all the way there and they don't have the "STAND" only the tank. Great job Petco firing imbeciles.

Don't ever buy pets from Petco they miss treat them on and they all have Diseases usually. I have bought a feeder mouse every month for the last eight months and every time I have gotten that one it has had mites so I would report them yet they still do nothing we had gotten two bearded dragons from them a year ago and won two months ago and they both did not make it more than two days in our home there's snakes are kept at two high of a humidity I have shown the manager and the snakes have had scale right I also shown the manager that and they had done nothing about it a week later the snakes passed away

This store team is GREAT. All the groomers are really cautious about their job and do a beautiful job. Our groomer is Carol, and she is simply THE BEST !!!!! She is dedicated to perfection, she do an awesome job on Rusty. She is not just a groomer, is an important part of our family because she also take care of Rusty's health and well-being. THANKS CAROL!!! The store manager... she is a beautiful person!, if you need something just ask her she will find It for you or just ordered if they don't have it on the store, as she did for us and Rusty's biscottis... THE BEST PETCO !

We've always had a very positive experience at the Petco in North Conway. Because we live an hour away, it's not always possible to get over there to have our dogs groomed but when we do, they always do a great job. What's also great is even though we don't go often, they know us over there and love our dogs as, they've been grooming them since we adopted them last year. Just wish they would put one closer to us as, we live near Littleton, N.H. Susan and Sue at the North Conway store re great.

Brother in law bought a water dragon from these guys and it didn't survive. After less than 30 days. Went in to get a refund and the girl went up one side and down the other of him. He has a mental illness and does. Or defend himself. She told him he killed it and he would never be allowed to buy anything there again. He left devastated. Sister in law catches wind land calls the store demanding answers. Finally gets somewhere with them and the girl fabricated a story saying that he told them he put it in the freezer when he first got it. Complete lie because he took it over to the in-laws so they could care for it right after he got it.(also he bought 2 and the second one is doing great.) they gave him a refund finally. In-laws has gone in a few times to ask for advice on care, not a single person told them to buy crickets. Every person told a conflicting story about how to care for these animals. This place is terrible. Not knowing your job is one thing, but to treat a customer like that is disgusting. I will never go there again and make sure no one I know will ever go there again. That girl should have been fired, but wasn't.

STAY AWAY AND GO TO PETSMART!!! I have been a customer for many years and spend about $200 every month. Well not anymore. I called the store and asked them to put an item at the front register for my husband to pick up. I live one hour away and he drives by on his way home. They put the item up front he asked for the item and the guy at the register DJ said there was nothing there. My husband had to go pick out the item he got the wrong thing. I called to ask what went wrong, this was not a difficult request. The manager looked and found the item that was put there for him to pick up. Tomorrow is my day off and I have to drive one hour to the store and pick up the correct item and another one to get back home. The manager offered a percentage off for my troubles. Did I mention that I live an hour away. I'll go pick it up and I hope you realize I will never step into this store again. I know how important reviews are to you. This store would get a zero but you have to put at least one. STAY AWAY AND GO TO PETSMART!!!
