About Hamel Recreation Center

The Hamel Recreation Center (HRC) is an excellent facility that is well-maintained and can accommodate three volleyball courts on the upper level. It offers a variety of group exercise classes and has ample equipment, including squat racks and benches, though it can get quite busy during weekdays. The staff is friendly, and the facility is clean and spacious, making it suitable for a wide range of training needs. However, the parking situation can be a challenge, and the volume of the speakers can sometimes be a bit too loud. Overall, the HRC is a highly recommended facility that provides a great experience for its users.

    I come here all the time. They have so many different exercise options as well as plenty of changing stalls and showers and also a sauna. Everyones very friendly with each other. They host sports here strengthening the sense of UNH community. They also have long hours for people with busy schedules.

    Great place! A bit distant from the dorms, but I can’t blame them. The options here are great, and would recommend to anyone looking for a local workout.

    The staff was very great, they helped find my lost bag in seconds! Even though I could've found it myself they helped me throughly easily exceeding customer service
