NECU is the best! They catch any "unusual" purchase, are always helpful, friendly and extremely efficient with any question or concern I may have. Elizabeth especially was great to work with - she was able to get through some technical difficulties to be able to best provide me with the services I needed. I leased a car, and apparently the dealership went through this company. There is no easy way to see any information about your account or to pay your bill. It's just this really bizarre setup where every step takes days. The website and functionality are comically bad. The customer service isn't good either. Try to call and get information and they act like you're personally insulting them for asking questions. But you're asking questions because they have this insanely inefficient and comically inept website that is not user-friendly or intuitive in any way. Best to avoid this place.

Have been a member for 40 years but have no faith in them anymore. A teller messed up my credit card i got for my daughter who needed it for work in Asia and was over there with a non functioning card.

Elizabeth in your Stratham location is excellent!! Very friendly, professional and efficient. Elizabeth is also a creative problem solver. She listened to my needs and recommended the best approach to accomplish what I needed (which involved transferring funds between credit unions). I greatly appreciated Elizabeth’s superb customer service. Thank you Elizabeth!

The local, Exeter Staff are great. but if you ever have to deal with accounts being compromised or anything else that might involve the Portsmouth headquarters, you will experience how inept the IT department is. From account security to online banking functionality, they are the worst.

Worst place I've ever dealt with regarding loan payments. Their online paying process is terrible. No one is ever available to take payments over the phone. I'll never use them again.

This is the worst lender I've ever worked with. There's no good way to pay online so I have to physically mail a check. I receive no notification when my payment is due and service credit union alone has lowered my credit score significantly for this reason. I've never been late for a credit card or auto loan other than with north east. I got a phone call that didn't even say what they were calling about of course at a terrible time for a working citizen to take a phone call called back to find out it was a debt collector for a late payment. Left a voice mail saying my check was actually sent 2 days prior. Idk this just doesn't happen for any of my other lines of credit. This place just sucks

I had my car financed through NECU, and will be forever grateful. I'm the beginning, service was amazing. but this year, CS has become a joke. The website and app are constantly being "updated", and never in a good way. Policies constantly change. All of the sudden, whereas last year one could "skip-a-payment" at Will if they were in good standings. This year I was told "that is only the month of June and we aren't doing that this year." (Funny it's only the month of June but I skipped a February payment last year.)Since starting, I have had an ongoing battle trying to switch from Paper to E-Statements. I've had multiple conversations, with multiple CS Reps, but only today - after all this time - I'm told it isn't possible to call and ask the bank to switch? You guys are messy with your policy, and obviously do a highly shoddy job training your reps. I will now be exploring other banks to have my loan refinanced, because I just don't want to deal with you all anymore.

They are superb!!! Always polite and have answers. The credit union catches any purchases that dont look "normal" immediately!! We've been a part of NECU for over 25 years.. would never change...

Don’t let a 5 * Rating Deceive you, these guys are very hard to deal with. Staff is not particularly friendly. Might want to shop around .
