The Colophon Book Shop is a hidden treasure trove of used older books, with an incredible selection. It is a fantastic place for those who love history and old books. The shop has an excellent military history section, including many books on General Custer and the Battle of the Little Big Horn, as well as an excellent aviation history section. There are also many books on local history, old fiction novels, biographies, and old maps. The owner is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and the worker was a very nice man. Prices are reasonably priced and in line with most online shops. It is a great place to browse and cultivate a collection. The shop is located in a nice little downtown area with other local shops and restaurants.
New Englands BEST bookshop for Aviation history, Naval, Military, art, etc, etc. When you visit the shop, plan on spending most of the day there, and make sure you have plenty of room in the car to haul home your prize finds.
