The Gale River Motel offers basic, clean, and affordable accommodations with gorgeous views of the meadow and Cannon Mountain. Its great location provides easy access to town, a local brewery, and the river. The property is a bit dated but overall clean, with comfortable beds in some units and well-stocked kitchens in the house. Amenities include a clean pool, a great hot tub, and lots of play space for dogs and kids. The staff is consistently described as nice, kind, helpful, professional, and attentive. While generally quiet, there can be rare noise disturbances. Some mattresses were noted as very worn and rooms could use updating. The on-site house lacks air conditioning, requiring fans in the heat. Despite minor drawbacks, guests find it an excellent stay and highly recommend returning.
This is a terrific hotel. Comfy beds, nice linens, big fluffy white bathroom towels. Excellent room coffee! Very quiet, ample parking, close to good restaurants & cafes. Tastefully decorated. Loved it. Perfect after a full day of hiking, skiing, mountain biking, or rafting. A++

Quite possibly the best hidden gem I have ever stumbled upon! The beds were so comfortable and the fan + AC combo was also amazing. I loved the attention to detail and the convenience of the location. Quiet, right by Sugar Hill/Sunset Rd and >10 min to Franconia Notch State Park. Also had lots of butterflies 🦋

This is a great spot. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and quiet. The view from the room is beautiful. Great location as well. Close to some really good restaurants, hiking trails, and fishing. We stay here often and highly recommend it.
