“PF Haymarket, Va. I understand the business model. Basically a no service high volume equipment fitness center. Objective low cost high volume use. My only suggestion, three at the counter that barely are 20 if that. All they seem to do is talk to each other and say hello and good bye. You can cut one head and gain on labor without losing service. They provide no service from what I see.”

“Love this gym. I work second shift and I tend to go after work. The fact this gym is open 24 hours is convenient and in a great location. It tends to be busy during the day, but you’re still able to get on machines without an issue.

The gym is very clean from the machines to the bathrooms and everything in the black card lounge.

The staff is also very friendly and helpful. The three guys that work at night are awesome and make my experience pleasant.”

“I always like going to this PF location. It’s definitely on the smaller side but it’s never too crowded. What I really like about this location is that the workers at the front desk ALWAYS say hello and goodbye where as other PF locations I’ve been to, I’m not even acknowledged by any of the workers. That verbal acknowledgment really matters!”

“Amazing coaches, helpful staff, clean facilities and lots of convenient class timings - OTF Portsmouth has been our favourite place to work out since we joined ~3 months ago. Each class offers a varied mix of floor exercises, rowing and running on the treadmill and they also host monthly competitions to make working out more enjoyable. I always leave the class feeling energised and would highly recommend joining!”

“A great gym to 'do your thing' at. There is so much to do in there, at first I couldn't decide what not to do! After a couple months my needs shifted, not a problem here. They offer everything imaginable, except swimming. Even with warm weather approaching I still opt for the gym. Convenient, clean, and affordable, what more could you want?”

“They need to rename this joint mushroom
gym. I think the majority of the male clientele stopped wearing underwear about five years ago. Every time you go, it’s a free mushroom show. What a mess.”

“The gym is clean, well lit and a safe place to jump into kickboxing. I have found the trainers to be friendly and well informed. The workouts change which keeps everything exciting. Great place for a great workout.”

“I was working out at the Newburyport Planet Fitness on a Friday night and finished my run on the treadmill about 10–15 minutes before closing. My AirPod fell out, landed on the treadmill, and flew somewhere out of sight. I searched for about 10 minutes, and by then the gym was closing.
Instead of rushing me out at 9:00, George and Amy stayed and helped me look until my AirPod was found. They were incredibly kind and truly put effort into helping me. It’s staff like this that can turn a stressful moment into a positive one and really make someone’s day. I truly appreciated them and will be coming back here more often!”

“I have been a member at SSC for about 6 months now. It is by far the best experience I have had training in a gym. For one, there are no mirrors! Yea! Secondly it is a small, friendly and supportive community. There are always many different fitness levels at each session, which I believe makes everyone more comfortable. SSC provides a unique training experience. You have your own personalized workout, that you complete in your own small area, within a larger gym setting with other members. They provide personal training in a group setting, making it much more affordable. All of the trainers are very knowledgeable, friendly and encouraging. Every workout is doable, but still challenging. I have had great results. I have lost inches and gained muscle. I feel strong! I really look forward to my workouts! SSC is a different kind of gym, in the best way. I highly recommend!!”

“I was VERY nervous about starting out at a Crossfit Gym - it was very intimidating to see all these amazingly strong people lifting weights I couldn't even imagine lifting myself. They welcomed me with open arms and took the time to teach me the how and why behind diets, weight lifting, lifestyle change, etc. In less than six months I went from constant every day back pain and barely being able to life the bar (35 lbs) to losing 30+ lbs, deadlifting 145+ lbs, bech pressing 100+ and feeling super strong, fit and healthy. I am so happy I chose to do personal training at The Port versus going to the gym and blindly trying to lift and lost weight. Recommend 150%!! If your nervous, start with personal training. If you have experience, jump right into the classes - either way they will be an excellent source of knowledge, support, empowerment and all around great people to get to know. Cannot recommend highly enough!”

“Great gym. It's reasonably priced and open 24hrs which is great. However, they don't have a ton of machines due to space, so if it's busy it can be difficult to use some of them quickly. Everyone there is nice as well.”

“The training here is truly personalized. It is a great tool for athletes looking to excel in specific areas of their sport. The facility is clean and modern as well.”

“I come here for the pool. It’s solid. However be aware: they are increasingly adding outside swim classes and teams in the lap lanes which makes it really difficult for those of us who work 9-5 to get a good after-work workout in. There’s usually only two lanes available for open swim and half the time they’re occupied by water walkers who I wish would use the non-lap pool instead. Happy to share lanes but it ends up feeling really claustrophobic at times.I joined last summer when there were fewer teams/lessons and feel that I signed up under a false impression of how open their pool is. No one told me youth swim teams use this facility during the school year. Maybe things will die down again when school is out but I do feel the gym should be more transparent about this up front and post lap and therapy pool schedules on their website.I do appreciate the open Friday nights! It’s my favorite time to go.”

“Sandy Ziemski- I trialed F45 Salisbury for 1 week. I felt very comfortable and the gym was clean and the excercises were on point. Bree was a great instructor. She was very welcoming and made sure form was good. She also suggested alternative excercises due to my hip replacement. 5 stars”

“It's a Great Place for any athlete looking to improve their overall sports performance, body composition, and mentality. There is a great culture here with a lot of great coaches, especially Cory Varrell, the strength and conditioning coach who will bring your game to the next level. If you need proof that this place will make you better, check out all of the college athletes who have come out of it. I highly recommend it!”

“Positive: staff are great, equipment clean and easy to use, generally quiet environment.
Negative: hours are terrible, needs leg and buttock equipment geared towards female bodies, lacks saunas and cold plunges.”
