Ships Inn is a hotel with a great location right near the ocean, just a one-minute walk to the beach. It is close to everything, including the boardwalk, ballroom, and stage, with excellent walkability. The staff is very helpful, nice, polite, and accommodating. Many rooms are clean, quiet, spacious, homey, and have a great view, with well-made beds. The hotel is undergoing some renovations and is affordable. However, one ground-floor room had issues with a damp floor, a gloomy chipped concrete patio, and a difficult-to-lock door. The service is generally fine, with no breakfast offered, but nearby food options are available.
