“My daughter has gone here for years & the transition at first was a little rough coming from a smaller community to a center so large, but the boys and girls club really is a program that offers so many amazing opportunities for the children. The kids have the chance to join so many different activities & see what they actually have interest in and with this area of the state dealing with high poverty, most of the children wouldn’t have ever had these opportunities without the club. They’re always doing some sort of event; African drumming, bingo nights w/ prizes, field trips to hike or the palace theatre, performances, etc. Our family loves their performing arts program & it’s 100% because of the head of performing arts, Isaiah. Huge shout out to him. He truly puts 150% into this program and it shows. The club had a few different people in his position before he came into it, and although they were all kind and put in a lot of energy, the changes Isaiah has made are phenomenal. My daughter has grown so much as a performer under his instruction!!! He teaches them actual stage basics, has them doing auditions, has performances set up in a perfect way for their space so everyone can see and the stages look so good. He changed the practice hours for certain programs & it really adjusted the show out to reflect kids that really have a passion for performing. By doing that, my daughter has met new friends that have the actual same interests as her & all of the kids he instructs have grown such a strong bond. Definitely recommend the club for those in the area and shout out Isaiah. Give that man an award! ?”

“The YMCA in Merrimack is hands down my favorite of all the YMCAs I’ve been to. It’s incredibly spacious, well-organized, and filled with updated equipment that makes working out a pleasure. What really sets this location apart, though, is the staff. They are always warm, welcoming, and helpful.
I want to especially recognize Allison at the front desk. She’s a true ambassador for the YMCA. Her radiant smile and fun hats bring joy not only to my day but clearly to many others as well. I’ve witnessed her go above and beyond for members on numerous occasions. She treats everyone with such genuine kindness, respect, and positivity.
Kudos to this YMCA for creating such a wonderful atmosphere and for having team members like Allison who truly make a difference!”

“I contacted the YWCA about hosting an event in the Spring of 2025 after being referred by the folks at MTC, and have been holding space there since. I love their mission and fully support advocating peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. The history of the YWCA and the building built in 1928 for the NH chapter on Concord St in Manchester pulled me right in. If you're looking for a space with heart the YW might be a great place for you to spend time too!
Though the YWCA NH is currently the working home of several organizations they are all independently organized. The YW itself is run by one full time person, and that means it can be challenging to get ahold her, she's often running in twelve directions.
If you see Oudin and me hanging around the front desk we'd love it if you stopped to say hello.”
“Went here for their BBQ steak event with friends and family under the pavilion. Only went into the building to use the restroom, but inside looked like a great place to hang out for a drink and conversation. This is the 11th American Legion I've been in and it was the coziest. Stop in and see if it's your kind of place.”
“I've been a member for the last three months - 4-5 workouts per week. I really like the weight room - well organized and has what I need. The pool is fine - I really wish there was a second pace clock at the far end of the pool. The locker rooms are good - a bit tired but clean. What makes this place is the staff. Friendly and helpful. The team in the weight room is especially good. They will correct my form when correction is needed (which is often!). Highly recommended.”

“NON SMOKING! Love it! Great space inside with a pool table and plenty of seating. Great outside space (when it’s warmer) and even a hut for those that do smoke. They also have Keno, pull tabs, and Touch Tunes for music lovers.
Btw bring cash, no credit cards accepted BUT there’s an ATM.”
