“Ace is a great hardware store. Much easier to find something than in a big box store and in some cases things cost less. My only complaint is it’s a very hard parking lot to get out of but I’d still recommend it.”
“Needed replacement hardware for a bracket to hold a window AC unit and they had what I needed. Good hours leading up to-, and through-, 4th of July weekend. They were willing to let me return a couple of parts that weren't long enough for the bracket the following day even though I was dumb and didn't ask for a receipt the day prior. All workers I talked to were helpful and pleasant. Easy 5/5 from me.”
“MGMT PLS READ: Great selection and helpful staff but PLEASE coach or reassign the senior gentleman working the cash register. Nothing goes smoothly with him which would be fine but he is mean and yells at customers who have reasonable requests (witnessed two right in front of me in addition to my interaction). This happens every time I come in. He constantly guilts me for having duplicate Ace Rewards profiles which is not my fault.”

“Ppl r helpful and vary polite they did there best to answer any questions I had honestly and as fast as possible admitting they didn't know answer to some of my questions and doing there best to get me the right information as fast as they possibly could and not just making up an answer because they didn't want me to know they didn't know the answer or just to lazy to find the right answer for me and basically just giving me any answer to get ride of me so I'm happy with me experience there and will b going back and would definitely refer others to as well”
“I needed one unusual piece of vinyl trim, a $25 sale. Mike Watson at Gilford Home Center treated me like I was buying $1M worth of material for a lake house. The customer service was exceptional. The communication from order to pick up was wonderful, friendly, courteous, helpful, and enthused with a very local, non-corporate conglomerate feel and attitude. He even offered to cut the trim down for me if it was longer than I needed or longer than would fit in my car. Really impressive all around. Highly recommend.”
