“Having experienced numerous hotels, this one stands out as the absolute best. For those who appreciate the paranormal, this haunted hotel is an excellent choice, with meticulous attention to detail. It is ideal for both two people or larger gatherings. The hot tub is exclusively for the suite, ensuring privacy. A wide array of movies is available through the TV apps or in their lobby. Additionally, there is a spa on-site. The suite also includes a kitchen, allowing you to order food or prepare your own meals, if you wish. I am easily startled, and I must admit I jumped and screamed more than I care to admit. You can choose to turn off the experience by midnight if it becomes overwhelming. I would certainly return to this place; it is a great deal of fun.”

“Great experience, really nice amenities, besides the usual there was ice coffee available from 3-8 , chocolate chip cookies, nice hotel. Reminded me of the old comfort inn / hobo in Lincoln. Clean , very pleasant.

“Clean and warm place, a great discovery! The staff is extremely welcoming. I love these old hotels full of history like you can still find in New England. This one is particularly well maintained and has a wonderful character. We booked last minute on Booking.com and given the more than affordable price, our expectations were not high... but once there we couldn't believe how wonderful it was. Restaurant on site and very good lunch included. A pleasant surprise, we will definitely return!”

“We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting the White Mountain area in the summer. The manager/receptionist was very helpful and was kind to offer us a room with a balcony which proved to be a great place for us to have dinner while enjoying that sight of the forest at the back of the hotel. The pool is mildly-heated, but since it was a very hot summer day we were able to enjoy it. I highly recommend this hotel if you are in the area.”

“I stayed here during my J1 program and had an amazing experience. The housing was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. Everything I needed was provided, and any small questions or issues were handled quickly and professionally. It felt like a safe and welcoming environment, which made a huge difference while being away from home. “A beautiful old building with it's main areas remodeled, this place is cozy and in definitely appreciated by it's guests. With 17 rooms, each space is unique. This building still has all the charm and character of it's 1773 timeframe, while being updated to modern convenience. It's very obvious money is being put into restoring the place. I found both the occupants, the building manager and the space beautiful, charming and worth visiting long term.For location, you are close enough to the center of town for all the fun you like, while far enough back to not have the noise. And the ski runs are mere minutes away.The best part of the whole place is the little things that point out the character, from the old mailboxes behind check in, to the old record player to the life edge bar in the dining room...and the list continues.Tim, thanks for showing me the place and Room 11 today! “Sept 2022- my family, friends, and I stayed at the Cabernet Inn for our wedding and found it to be spacious, cozy, and a great place overall to stay. Scott was accommodating to our group and we had no issues with check in/check out. There are strict rules and cleaning procedures in place, but they weren't too much of an issue for us to follow. Great location, plenty of parking, and the fields behind the inn have a great view of Cathedral Ledge. Warning: there are gun shots and hunters back there during hunting season!”

“Hey I loved this hotel!
Clean, quiet, Keurigs in rooms, nice TVs, firm and comfortable beds.
Staff so pleasant and professional.
Structures a bit scruffy but that's probably why they're renovating (May 2024). Renovation did not bother, half of the hotel appeared to be behind a plastic sheet.
Will stay again.”
