“We were in the area for the 9/11 Memorial and stopped at Fosters Crossroads on our way back to the motel because we wanted to grab a drink for the ride. It looked like one of the only places still open, so we figured we’d stop in.

My boyfriend actually used to come here when he would go camping in the area many years ago, so it was really cool for him to come back after all this time and see that they’re still just as reliable as ever.

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a hello from what I’m assuming was the owner or manager. He was so friendly and welcoming. It was around 10:45 PM, so I asked what time they were open until. He told me they normally close at 9, but since he noticed people were still out and about, they were staying open until the traffic died down.

Honestly, I loved that. I’m a big believer that customer service comes first, and you could tell they genuinely cared about the people coming in.

And this isn’t just a gas station where you grab a drink and go. They have pretty much everything you could need — camping essentials, meat for the grill, firewood, snacks, drinks, and all the little everyday things you might realize you forgot.

It was such a nice experience, especially since we were only stopping in for a drink. It’s places like this that make you appreciate a good local business.

“For a small town grocery store, this place is so well stocked! The location is extremely helpful when vacationing in tiny towns in the White Mountains. They had everything we initially forgot to bring and were perfect for a midweek resupply. Even their produce is acceptable quality. The isles are close together and crowded, but it is really because they are sqeezing such a wide selection into such a small space.”

“I came here to camp and I thought I was in big trouble since I forgot a lighter, I have been to 3 different places and asked for a lighter but each one said you have to be 18 to buy one. Then I went to dollar general and they let me buy one since I am about to be 18 and the actually get that I can’t drive 100 miles back to my house just to get one. I would recommend they have anything you need here and they have the nicest staff ever👍”
