If you are thinking about coming here DONT I arrived today at 12pm for the water park (I also had a hotel reservation) i got in line to retrieve my wrist bands for the water park a little after 12pm I didn’t get out of line until almost 2pm then had to wait another 30-40min in line to check into my room. The rooms are out of date and not appealing. The waterpark was over crowded and not enjoyable at all. The water in the pool was cloudy and just looked unsanitary. The lazy river was a disaster. It was so packed that everyone was bumping into each. The food was ridiculously high I paid $81 for 4 orders of chicken tenders and fries. Got back to the room to shower there was only 2 towels no wash clothes I called the front desk I’ll how many times no answer. I ended up packing me and my kids things and leaving and drove back home 2hrs away. I tried to call again the whole ride home to see if I could be refunded some of my money since I did not stay no answer. Oh yea I forgot when we left the water park and walked a mile back to the elevator to get to our room guess what was waiting for us?….another line. My kids stood wet and cold for another 15-20 mins waiting to get on the elevator. I will never come here again!Rooms: Old and dirtyWalkability: You have to walk really far from the rooms to the park and it’s cold walking back to the rooms wetFood & drinks: Very expensive

Very clean rooms, friendly staff, nice environment. Loved the waterpark, arcade, mini golf, roller skating, and go carts all within the building. Make sure to anticipate at least a 20+ minute for elevators around check out time. There are 6 elevators and 20+ floor of rooms. Our room had a great view on the 17th floor. Watching the coastal storm/flooding from the window was fascinating. The little diner is better than ACE, so make sure to go there for breakfast early. Going back soon and honestly can't wait.

Edit: It just keeps getting worse. We asked a security person how to get in touch with the front desk, and she told us to call the main number. We explained that we have been, but no answers. She told us to go to the front desk, but we were just in line for over an hour and a half (line was still ridiculously long at that time). She said to keep calling. All I said to her was "thank you" in a very nice and sincere manner, and she started going off on me. I tried to calm her down by explaining that I was just saying "thank you" and that I wasn't trying to be mean or anything. I know she's only one person and that there's nothing she can do, but to go off on me like that was uncalled for and unprofessional. I'm praying that the waterpark will be good tomorrow. I cannot wait to leave here.Terrible experience. It took over an hour and a half to check in. We got into the room and it reeked of weed. One of the electrical outlets was loose and couldn't hold the plug. We traveled with 4 individuals and the bathroom only had one bath towel. The buttons to call the front desk and housekeeping were removed from the phone in the room. We tried calling the main number several times and no one answered. Definitely not worth the price we paid. Never staying here again.

Just attended the Easter Brunch at Showboat. Worst experience ever. Our reservation said buffet was open 10 to 4. We got there around 1:15. What little food was left was ice cold. We were told they were shutting down at 2. There was no bread in the bread basket, no bagels left, the juice dispenser was empty. Also there were no plates and the silverware was plastic. You couldn't even get a glass of water. If you didn't drink coffee you were out of luck. They said they had "decadent desserts". THEY HAD NO DESSERTS!!! When we demanded something they put out a few pieces of banana and coconut cake. This buffet wasn't cheap. No one came to your table to clear dishes, you sat yourself and all of the tablecloths were dirty because they weren't changed between parties. I will be fighting for a refund. If you left the restaurant to use the restroom you got locked out. You had to call someone in your party to come open the door for you. I never saw anything like it. It will definitely be remembered as our worst Easter brunch.

This was probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed at . Our room had garbage behind our beds and a child's whistle was on the floor. I'm thinking there's no way the room was vacuumed. 2 towels were left for 4 of us . Hair on our dirty stained sheets was the end all. When I complained at the front desk the women could have cared less. They don't answer the phones so I had to go down 15 floors to get towels. The water park was over filled to capacity and my grandkids couldn't even move nevermind have fun. What a joke . The owner of this hotel is a billionaire and should be ashamed. Neve again . The rooms are old and dirty !

Worst hotel ever! Save your money and don't stay here. Our room was run down, garbage was found behind the bed, stains and hair on the sheets. They only provided 2 towels in the room. The front desk does not answer the phone. When we finally went down the the front desk to request more towels the front desk girl had the worst attitude. Don't even get me started on the water park. Even if you have prepaid for tickets with your stay you still have to wait in line for over a hour to get wrist bands. They also don't put a limit on how many people they allow. Into the water park. They are money hungry. The water park was so crowed you couldn't even find a place in the pool to stand. Awful experience. Don't water your money.

Let’s start at check-in need to be fix especially during holidays or big events because it’s only 2 people working. Now when you trying to contact front desk there no answer and you either try to handle the issue or go down to front desk or find someone who works there. Last the elevators fix the elevators only 3 is was working over the weekend. The children enjoyed their selves I guess that important. But you guys can fix these issues. Hotel is very clean.Rooms: My room was very clean and it smell very nice when we walked into our room. Wish I had a better view but the room is spacious and nice.Nearby activities: Activities are on-site for children all ages.

Avoid avoid avoid...It depends what you are looking for, but as parents with a kindergartener we were attracted by the water park and kid friendly arcade. This hotel is NOT KID FRIENDLY at all.Firstly it was impossible to move anywhere without the smell of 420 alongside the type of families that yell loudly and don't control their children. The water park was overcrowded to the point of not being able to move, the arcade kept saying it gives keepsake cards for certain games and then the cards don't come out...a lot of the games were broken and no one seemed to be working on repairs.Lines lines lines for everything, like long and ridiculous unreasonable lines, not proportionate at all.We feel disappointed, ripped off and in serious need of headache tablets. If you are a family with young children, this is a place to avoid!!

I usually don't do reviews but since they sent me an email and asked for one, I guess I will let people know my experience. If you stay here, make sure you pay the 25 dollars to park there before you go in. We saw people being ticketed for not paying through their phone. Parking is not included and you have to pay 25 for each day. We got a cheaper discounted room with the purchase of tickets to the water park but I would never go back and rent a room at Showboat. I went to wait in line 30 mins early for check in and still waited almost 2 hours to get my room. 2 of the elevators were broken so getting up and down from your room is a mess. Our room was outdated and was right by the elevator. You can hear the elevator all night with people going up and down. We also can hear when people were flushing the toilet. You can hear all the plumbing in the building from our room. Our pillows were tiny and there were stains on the floor. I wanted to complain but we were tired from the water park and didn't want to deal with the line which was even longer after the water park closed. If you desperately need a room and don't care then I guess this place would do but I would highly not recommend staying here. We've been coming to Atlantic City our whole lives and this was the worse experience ever. I hope this review helps others and encourages changes at this place. We want Atlantic City to be better and encourage more people to come but by having a place like this, won't make it happen. The one positive thing I can say is that the arcade is awesome and my kid had a great time.

Mini getaway with the family with the draw of the arcade and water park. While the arcade was fun for the little one, not much of an attention seeker for adults.Massive crowds at the water Park were a draw back and seats were not plentiful. Lazy river was nice as the water was warm but every other aspect, the water was bone chilling cold. The hotel should shut down the rooms directly next to the barely functioning elevators as the noise level in the first room was deafening. Also, they should patrol the fire escapes as other patrols use it for smoking pot. Makes for such a lovely smell with children around.Valet was quick and easy, the small shop by the front was extremely helpful.Prices throughout were a bit high but that comes with the territory. More options for food would be nice.

Not good. I want to give no stars or negative stars but it's making me give at least one. We read about Island Water Park in the fall and wanted to check it out. We booked two nights at Showboat as part of a Black Friday deal that included a waterpark pass and a $5 arcade card for each of us. We chose March to visit and were very excited about our little getaway for the past few months. We headed down Thursday evening when we arrived there was huge check in line with no digital check in option. Our check in guy seemed not to care about his job, he was not welcoming at all. We were told to go to the Island waterpark reservations area to get our water park passes. We did, because we wanted to get our wristbands for the next day, but we were told we needed to come in the morning to get them. So we unpacked, had dinner, returned to our room and soon after went to bed. OMG at 1 am there was insane screaming in the hall! People were having a fight over something, they were screaming, cursing and slammimg doors for about an hour straight! We finally got back to sleep around 3 am. We went down to grab our waterpark passes in the morning and there was a VERY long line so we got coffee thinking the line might clear and we'd get them when we returned. But no, the line that had been about 50 deep when we originally walked by now easily had over 150 in it, stretching over 500 feet! There were people all over, blocking passage everwhere. Security personnel were trying to get people to move out of the way. We decided to try walking over to the actual waterpark before deciding what to do and there was also a huge line there! My husband and I went to reception to see if we could get vouchers to visit the waterpark on a different date. We were told to go to the Waterpark reservation area or call Showboat reservations (like really ??). Security personnel were now blocking entry to the waterpark reservation area where the huge line still stood. Frustrated, my husband and I decided to leave. We went to our room and while packing, and I called Showboat reservations. The person on the line seemed annoyed and there was a LOT of noise in the background. I tried to explain we just wanted vouchers to visit the waterpark on a different date but she kept cutting me off and then she just transferred me in the middle of me talking and I was left on hold for the entire time I finished packing. I hung up after just over 15 minutes of holding. I checked out (thankfully no line for that) while my husband put our things in the car (he had to leave his ID as collateral for a dolly to take everything, so weird!) The people at the check out desk said the waterpark was overbooked and something was wrong with their reservation system. So our two night getaway to see the waterpark ended up being one night and we didn't get near the waterpark and the hotel staff did not seem to care one bit about anything! I want Showboat to give me the two waterpark passes I was promised were included! I also realized when we drove away, no one ever gave us our Lucky Snake arcade cards that were also included! Extremely disappointing experience.

worst hotel ever. walls are so thin we could hear next door guests being so extremely loud at midnight that we wore awoken out of our sleep. tried calling front desk twice and there was no answer. also, it takes you very long to get checked into a room, i’d say about an hour. never coming back.
