“Going to an automotive body shop is usually like going to a hospital: you only go when something bad has happened. Automobile accidents are an unfortunate reality for many of us considering how congested traffic has become, as well as the increase in distracted drivers. Alas, when someone recently ran into the side of my 1961 Mercedes-Benz 190SL, thankfully nobody was hurt, but they damaged my passenger side rear quarter panel, fender and door. FYI, I had this car professionally restored in the late 1980’s and took it on the regional auto show circuit and did quite well. Today, I drive it on nice weather weekends and to local car shows and enjoy sharing it with admiring onlookers. Being a valuable older, special interest vehicle, I contacted respected friends and auto industry executives who know and work on these types of cars and understand what is involved to appropriately repair to a very high standard, any damage. Tommy Caruso, Proprietor of Caruso’s Auto-Motive, Inc. came highly recommended by the owner of a regional Mercedes-Benz Dealership, as well as several Mechanics who specialize in German automobiles, from the 1950’s to present day. From the moment I spoke with Tommy on the phone, to when I had my car flat-bedded to his repair shop in Plainfield, NJ, I had a very good sense that I had made the right choice. I found Tommy to be very personable and together we reviewed the damage, and he assured me that it was not as bad as it looked. His biggest concern was the anticipated challenge of blending the new paint on the repaired rear fender and door with the rest of the vehicle’s 37-year-old paint. He met with a second appraiser from my automobile insurance company and submitted a detailed supplemental claim, explaining why he strongly felt the need to paint the entire car, since matching the older paint would be very difficult. Thankfully, my insurance company agreed and accepted his supplemental claim. Once the work was complete and the new paint fully cured, I saw the repaired and repainted car and was most pleased. He and his team made sure that the costs for all the work was always stated and shared with me, as well as clearly communicating his process and progress. He even detailed my car before I left. I can attest that Tommy strives for excellence in his auto repair work. He and his crew’s experience, expertise and passion for doing an excellent job is most evident in not just my car, but in the other examples of several older and current Porsches, BMW’s, Mercedes-Benz’s, AMG’s and Maybach’s, that were in his shop at the same time as my car. If you have a special car that has a body issue that needs attention, it is well worth checking out Caruso’s Auto-Motive, Inc.”

“My Truck was hit while it was parked in front of my home. The person involved was honest and reliable. The person put me in contact with Certified Bumper Repair. Jose and his crew take their work very seriously. As soon as I arrived Jose and I reviewed the damages and what he was going to do to repair it. He also told me that the vehicle will be available in 5 business days. He is a man of his word as he contacted me when my vehicle was ready. I swear the truck looks better then it did previously. Remarkable job. I understand they also wash and detail cars at reasonable prices which I will be utilizing them moving forward. “Don’t believe the negative reviews. John is knowledgeable and delightful to deal with and is honest. Old school service which is very difficult to find. He really knows what he’s doing and doesn’t price gouge. It was just by chance I found John. I was rebounding from an horrific experience with Denville Bear and Body Morristown and Denville after being satisfied with their work for over 15 years. My Saab 2006 Aero convertible had so much damage in an accident insurance wanted to total it, but I didn’t want to as it only had 70,000 miles. It had been towed to Denville Bear and Body Morritown , and I waited over 6 months for repairs. After 3 complaints my headlamps weren’t set right and a rude employee who was annoyed at me for complaining. The roll up bars had ejected and from the website Just Answer spoke to a Saab expert who sent me a diagram on how to reset the roll up bars. I took the car to my Saab mechanic in Boonton who finally fixed the headlights and told me the roll up bars were reset but the lock box which would eject them again was never installed even Denville Bear and Body had a detailed illustration. They had been paid over $7500.00 for their work and there was out of pocket for me. The front lower bumper is very low and can scrape very easily. I went to see an owner in Denville, Kurt, and when I told him I had to pay for repairs that they had failed to do and got paid for. He said he would repaint my low bumper no charge. When I picked the car up there was a light on on the exterior that wouldn’t turn off. I went directly to my Saab mechanic who told me the wires for the lights weren’t installed properly and charged me $350.00 to fix them. The car never should have been released to me by Denville Bear and Body who should have repaired the problem. I went back to Kurt to ask him to pay me for costs to me for a wiring problem he should have addressed before releasing the car to me. He said he wouldn’t reimburse me and did more than he had to to compensate me for the inferior workmanship on my car. Note that the Morristown location has a broken gravel driveway and you risk damage from the gravel after picking up your repaired car. STAY AWAY FROM DENVILLE BEAR AND BODY.
John can be trusted and I’m thankful to have found him. Hopefully I won’t ever need auto body work again, but if I should John at Morristown Auto Body will be my go to person.”

“After doing some damage to the tail light and bumper, we spoke to JP who offered a quick quote and ordered the required part for the next day. Right off of the bat, my wife noted how friendly and responsive he was.

The following morning, they replaced the tail light quickly then ***completely fixed the bumper for free by smoothing out some wicked-looking dents***. I didn't notice it until after arriving home, being a bit scatter-brained with a long road trip scheduled after the visit. I had to do a double-take; frankly, I was stunned that they:

- made the bumper look as good as new
- completed the full job in under 30 minutes
- did not even mention it let alone charge for the work as I'd have been more than happy to pay whatever they would have charged

We saved a pretty penny (a new bumper would have been over $1000 and we had wrecked the corner section pretty good), immense time driving and calling around for quotes on bumper repair (or replacement) from their willingness to go way above and beyond what was promised.

John, JP and Laura run a first class business. Everyone is friendly, polite, professional and their auto work is top notch. I deeply appreciated their quick turnaround time due to the aforementioned trip. They went above and beyond for two digital nomads who are literally always on the road and live on a tight schedule.

If I could give them 10 stars I would.

“Someone hit & ran my car at a parking lot while I was grocery shopping. Multiple scratches & minor dent. Raj Auto Body got rid of the scratches quickly & advised me to leave the dents as-is and not to waste money fixing those. Great honest folks. Anyother place would have ripped you off. Definitely recommend them for your auto body needs!”
