“Best place in the area to buy produce! Lots of seasonal and exotic fruits, I get to eat fresh lychee all summer from here. Great prices on fruit and lots of sales so I can stock up and freeze extras. They also have an in-house butcher but sometimes they don’t do the best job at cutting the meats. Still, good prices on meat and I still buy it from here if I’m short on time. Good snack and instant noodle selection as well, I rarely go to supermarkets because Uncle Steve’s already has just about everything!”

“I really want to like this place, but this is the third time I’ve gone in and simply walked out after being inside for over 10 minutes. Likely won’t be returning.
There’s very little clarity around line management, and very little effort by staff to direct. After standing with a smile for several minutes and making eye contact with staff, only to have them engage other customers and ignore me. I decided to just leave and not come back.
UPDATE 3/30/26 - after the business responded, I decided to give them another shot. Maybe I was just going in on off days before, because the last few times I’ve gone have been a wonderful experience. They have stellar product as always and their line management is much more attentive; I haven’t felt ignored since.”

“It’s not that hard Job i came by i495 east i just followed Garmin took me to right place,i495 to John kennedy (30th St) then right turn on Summit Ave this might be hard to Make then after fews stops they located on left they want you to park on left side facing upcoming traffic it’s loading zone space for only one truck, my appointment was 5 AM , there was already a truck before me they made me turned around, unloading fast , restroom and shower available, for exit i followed google map i took right on 22nd st then right on JF kennedy rd then straight to i495 garmin would say low bridge but it’s not on your way , you will make u turn to i495 west from a stop sign ! Safe drive”

“We mostly like this new addition and do prefer them over other options in the neighborhood for some cuts of meat. Customer service can be very hit or miss. Some of the staff are consistently friendly whereas our experience with others is that we’re an inconvenience - which isn’t the best energy under which to be buying food! They can also be inconsistent about until when they’ll sell sliced meats. I’m glad they’re here and that I also have other options for the less than optimal times.”
“this is the beef jerky spot of the ages in nycct. the texture and flavor is the best. when i was a kid and one of my elders picked up a variety of flavors i would binge eat til scolded for overdoing it. in gaining autonomy ive eaten half pound of spicy to the face several times knowing but not caring that i shouldnt. during induced munchies sessions i will eat some then put it away only to go back to it a few mins later, on repeat. i think i have to go get some now.
i saw some reviews comparing it to other jerky spots and appearance. other jerky spots have a different kind of jerky to be fair but i havent found any of them to be on this level of appeal. as for appearance, its the same spot probably before my time and i was introd to this in the early 70s... they do what they do and they know what they have, appearances are for an excess they would need to do more work to accommodate, i totally get it and probably would treat it the same as they have for decades if i didnt care to reap as much as possible. ofc i would have this on blast in every medium with a website and mail order and whatever else.”
