“Bayonne is lucky to have CDN as a part of their city. We need more places like across the country where daycare is affordable and kids are taken care by wonderful and dedicated staff. I am indebted to CDN forever for taking excellent care of my kid.”

“I am fairly early in the process, but so far have had a really smooth experience. My intake counselor has been extremely informative and helpful. After our first meeting, I truly felt the potential of being able to purchase a home in the future! I am looking forward to continuing this process towards homeownership with NACA”

“A great place to stroll after lunch or dinner! There are new art installations and great views. Of course many great photo ops as well. Because it's right next to the river you want to layer up, because it can get cold and windy. Summer nights are prefect on the High Line.”

“I discovered Printed Matter one day while walking around Chelsea visiting various art spaces. In this context, maintaining the operation at this location is absolutely a smart, brilliant idea as it attracts art nerds who also happen to be book connoisseurs. For me, the curation and selection are unique enough to place Printed Matter in its own category. Think of extremely limited press runs combined with high quality presentation and intriguing subject matter. No NYC bookstore tour would be complete without a stop at Printed Matter.”

“i thought this would be like a shelter or adoption clinic, but as the name suggests, it's a cafe. Lots of kids around when I went on the weekend so it seemed the cats were on alert. Some beautiful cats though, cleary well cared for.”

“Amazing hub for out of town runners like me who want to run in Central Park. Lockers, water fountain, changing rooms, and bathroom all kept clean by hardworking cleaning staff. The employees I’ve interacted with are all helpful and friendly. Be aware there are no showers, but I always bring disposable XL “shower” wipes.”

“Such a nice house. I went there to attend the 20th Bruce Boyer Chess tournament and woe what a place. Inside is very warm and cozy. The architectural details inside the house are awesome. I highly recommend to visit when you have a chance.”

“Looking forward to checking out this shop soon. I grew up in San Francisco, the OG 826. Some of these negative comments are clearly from people who didn't bother to look up the website or read any of the reviews. The store front is meant to be gimmicky, targeting younger school age children. Though some adults may enjoy it too, depending on your personality. The proceeds support the 826 nonprofit which provides tutoring and literacy programs for children. There are locations throughout the country and each adjoining storefront features a different theme. NYC is superheroes. San Francisco is pirates. Don't know what the other stores are. I visited the one in LA but can't remember its theme anyway, if you're treating this as a normal retail space and expecting dirt cheap prices, you're missing the whole point. Cheers! Be kind to everyone.”

“This is the best place for kids. A big group of professionals working with them - teachers, nurses, family advocate… There is safety, huge progress and positive attitude with kids. The teachers are absolutely fantastic, very positive and also communicative with parents. Kids are eating healthy food, have different tasks and activities. There they have visitors such as dentist and other doctors with various types lessons. This way kids learned how to wash their hands and brush teeth with the best way. This is a little example, but giving an imagination about their environment. Buildings are good vented, playgrounds are in the big natural yard. I was looking for daycare and was visiting to other places before, but this is really the best! I highly recommend them to anyone! I am so glad to find them and grateful for everything what and how they do for my kids!”

“We got displaced due to a fire. We were scared, confused and tired. We really appreciate the good people that took or information when we got displaced due to a fire. The gentleman even asked me the name of my cats while we were waiting for the firefighters to put out the fire. I was so worried about if they would be able to stop the fire before it made it to our apartment. They were even able to find us a hotel that was pet friendly. They followed up with us when we needed an extension from the city at the hotel. Thank you to Christan for all of her kindness and patience. People were angry and just as stressed as we were. Christian explained things to us and we understood what The Red Cross does. She called to follow up with us. We appreciate her so, so, so much and are thankful for sitting with her that day. We appreciate The Red Cross for being so caring and empathy.”

“Such a great gem for fabric shopping! And there’s so much variety. I made an appointment online to shop before coming. Make sure to read their directions on how to get there before going. They sell fabric by the yard, scrap fabric for $5/pound, salvageable clothing for $5/pound, and lots of notions. By the yard fabric is sorted by type. Scrap fabric is sorted by color. There’s lots of bins with buttons and elastic. I got loads of elastic for $1/yard.Scraps ranged in sizes, most were about a yard (not full width) from what I could see, but I found some that were 2-3 yards as well. Lots of leather/fur pieces too! The clothing is all damaged but can be mended or repurposed. Some have markings. I picked up some madewell dresses/rompers to repurpose into shorts and a J crew dress to use for quilting. This is a must go if you’re into upcycling or making your own clothes! Once I sew through my stash, I’m coming back to volunteer and get some nice knit fabrics I spied ?”

“My daughter attended the summer camp and had nothing but great things to say about it. She made new friends, came home each day with a new song or story to share, and constantly boasted about the counselors. I felt so secure with her being there each day while I was at work. We only wish the summer camp would have lasted the duration of the summer break instead of only four weeks. It went by so fast. Thanks to everyone at New City Kids!”
