“I cannot say enough good things about this veterinary team. We brought our 16-year-old dog, Sophie, in after she took a bad fall on our hardwood floor. She was suffering from internal bleeding and critically low blood pressure, and we were terrified we might lose her.
The doctors and staff acted quickly and professionally — placing her on IV fluids, administering medication to help clot the internal bleeding, and ultimately performing a blood transfusion. Throughout the entire process, they were compassionate, calm, and honest, explaining everything clearly while treating Sophie with incredible care and dignity.
Today, six days later, Sophie is home and doing well — something we honestly weren’t sure would be possible. We are beyond grateful for the skill, dedication, and kindness shown to both Sophie and our family. This team truly gave us more precious time with our beloved dog, and we will never forget that.

“My dog had a tumor and originally we went to Dr.Dave just for a second opinion. We had been going to our previous vet for 7+ years, but after the initial visit and seeing how thoroughly Dr.Dave examined my dog, we knew he was the best person to treat our pup and eventually amputate his toe to remove the tumor. He made accommodations to perform the surgery ASAP. On the day of the surgery, his staff promptly followed up with us throughout the day. My dog is petrified of many things and will refuse to go inside somewhere he is not comfortable....we were shocked that after the surgery he happily ran inside the office for his follow up appointment! Dr.Dave quickly got back to us with his biopsy results and has been super helpful with next steps and referring us to an oncologist.

“Dr. Shendell and her team always go above and beyond for our fur babies. We have been through atleast four vets before we came across Dr. Shendell & Dr. Weltner. Both are great, kind and caring veterinarians! My wife and I are both nurses and let me tell you, these guys are the best that we've been to in Jersey so far (location wise). Dr. Shendell and Dr. Mooney did surgery twice on my 21 year old alien baby (Biff). They gave us an extension with him for which I am forever grateful. DO NOT second guess yourself or the people here! They are awesome and my wife and I will NEVER stop coming here.....unless we move...or get abducted by my new boy's alien family...Shhh...don't tell the Feds!”

“I could not be happier with Dr. Hollo and the care our animals receive at Basking Ridge Animal Hospital. We have two very large mixed-breed dogs that we bring to BRAH for all our veterinarian needs. Dr. Hollo, has been amazing with our big boys. Our eldest dog thinks that Dr. Hollo is the bee’s knees and I'm pretty sure Dr. Hollo feels the same about him! “My son and I brought our dog Bella to Animerge because she had ingested some cellophane. The whole staff were very caring not only for Bella, but for both of us as well. It would have been costly and very stressful for our dog to undergo testing, so Dr. Jenny, taking into consideration her medical condition and age, took a less aggressive approach that was more comfortable for us, and especially for Bella. We are grateful for her time and expertise. We have been to Animerge for previous emergencies, and we continue to highly recommend this facility for excellent emergency veterinary care.”
“Beautiful looking place, very clean and modern looking, love the hippo. Everyone who works there has been wonderful, especially Dr. Kerry, while I've been dealing with my cats health issues. While it sucks my little girl is dealing with her issues, they have made the whole process as easy and smooth as i could have hoped for. One of my biggest concerns was not being able to afford the care she needed, but the prices seem absolutely reasonable all considered, and absolutely worth it for the care and attention they have provided for her. Again, I couldn't recommend this place any higher, I apologize for not remembering more names since everyone I've met has been wonderful, but Dr. Kerry was who I worked with first and she's absolutely fantastic!”

“I like the way they’re run. Office staff, vet techs and Dr Levitian leave us feeling comfortable and seen. Whenever we need paperwork for proof of vaccination, etc., it’s so easy to contact the office. My family knows this practice as “no nonsense”- so far recommending only those procedures that are necessary and reasonable for our unique circumstances. As a first time dog mom, there was no question in my mind of who my vet was going to be.”
