“The room was clean, and there was a king bed but they keep the temperature at 80°. It's so hot, so uncomfortable you have to turn the air conditioner on. It's 29° outside.”

“I really love the rooftop bar here and I am glad that you are now open every day. The new roof you installed was absolutely the right decision as it can protect from the heat with air conditioning and also from the rain. It is such a beautiful space now. I am starting to feel a little worried about whether I will be able to get a table from you next week. See you soon..❤️??”

“An exceptional experience from start to finish. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are elegant and extremely comfortable, and every detail is perfectly taken care of. The staff is outstanding—professional, friendly, and always ready to help. The location is fantastic for exploring the city. The breakfast was also excellent, with a great variety and top-quality products. Truly a five-star stay and I would gladly return.”

“I looked into Manhattan because it was too expensive, but although the room is in a corner on the first floor, there is noise when opening and closing the door, it is easy to move around the path, it is in a relatively safe location, and the bed is large and the room is spacious. The water pressure in the bathroom is so great that it is difficult to use the bathroom. great
The staff are also friendly.
Breakfast includes yogurt, muffins, donuts, croissants, and other breads, as well as apples, bananas, coffee, and orange juice. There are two tables inside and several terrace-type tables outside.”

“I have never written a google review but this is a well deserved one. I stayed there March 12-14th (two nights) the hotel was a 5 minute walking distance to a near by subway which was so convenient for getting around, we walked to the brooklyn bridge from the hotel about 15 minute walk, we also walked to the ferry for the statue of liberty about 18 minutes from the hotel, the famous Joes pizza which was amazing was about about 5 minute walk. The staff was amazing, we got vouchers for breakfast at Felice restaurant downstairs which was delicious! the vouchers offered coffee, orange juice, french toast, eggs with bacon and potatoes etc. The staff at Felices even brought a piece of tiramisu with a candle to celebrate my partner’s birthday which was so thoughtful. The hotel was super clean. Our flight was at 9:25pm and they holded our bags for no extra cost so we could go and enjoy the day. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely be coming back!”

“I've had the pleasure of photographing two weddings here and the location is unique, breathtaking and memorable. This is one of the most beautiful spaces in Manhattan. The penthouse rooftop is perfect for a ceremony ad first look. The penthouse atrium is a dream for a smaller wedding.”

“Great hotel in a quiet part of Manhattan, away from all the madness. The staff were really lovely throughout our stay! The rooms were clean, and it was great to have a microwave and a mini fridge for quick dinners/breakfast. The bathroom was really nice and had everything you need.

We had an issue with the ice machine being extremely loud outside of our room, but they moved us immediately without any issues to a better room away from the machine, and to a higher floor. We also had an issue where our tv wasn't working but they fixed it for us the next day. There is also laundry units downstairs and a small gym!

Would recommend it here for anyone wanting to visit manhattan and stay in a safer quieter area. Its within walking distance to Whole Foods, and Chipotle, and multiple subway stops & opposite the Staten Island Ferry!

The fire alarm went off two days in a row at 6am from the Kitchen downstairs making breakfast, and the fire department came and checked the floors. Thankfully we were awake, but not ideal!”

“This boutique hotel nestled in the jersey arts district delivered a warm vibe despite the weather outside being unseasonal and rainy. Kyshon was quick and professional with check-in process and responsive to all of my requests and questions. Leon was so polite and kind in assisting with luggage and valeting my SUV. The room itself was a little tricky to figure out the controls of lighting, but was dark with the barn sliding door as a major plus. The room had a chic vibe and sleep quality was excellent. A suggestion that could benefit the hotel is a pillow menu for guests. I was unable to indulge in the complimentary beverages down in the lobby area due to time sensitive logistics but it seemed like a cozy and relaxing atmosphere with some pleasant aromatics from ordered food. The Path train was steps away for guest convenience and there were quite a few options to dine in the local area. If you are visiting Jersey City and don't want hustle and bustle, this is the spot for you.”

“Everything was fine!
The only thing unfortunately happened, that Marriott canceled the partnership with Sonder during our stay, ending up being „thrown“ out of the hotel itself but only a few hours before anyway leaving.
Marrriott and sonder should have buckled up and at least offer for those who were already in the hotel a good solution!

All in all, perfect Area to stay!”

“Latoya was welcoming and very helpful checking us in! The room was clean and accommodating. The location is a quick subway train away from Manhattan and tucked away in a quiet area. We were too tired to explore Jersey City after walking all day in the Big Apple, but would definitely stay here again!”

“Excellent location for staying close to New York City. The hotel is just a 2-minute walk from the PATH train station, with convenient connections to both Newark and the World Trade Center. The breakfast was fairly good, and the complimentary shuttle service was a nice addition.

The room was spacious and included an additional pullout sofa bed. The well-equipped kitchenette came with a fridge and dishwasher. The staff were courteous and helpful throughout our stay.”

“Because of the blizzard, we had to extend our stay at Arlo SoHo, and we’re so grateful for the exceptional service we received—especially from Nyla at the front desk. She was incredibly gracious, patient, and genuinely caring throughout the entire process. During a stressful situation, Nyla went above and beyond to make everything seamless for us. She even made a point to personally find us once everything was settled, which truly meant a lot. Her kindness and professionalism made all the difference in our stay.”

“Literally the most comfortable, stylish, and thankfully not overrun with influencers place I’ve ever stayed. The service was impeccable. The onsen massage by Olivia was one of the most physically enjoyable things I’ve ever experienced (this is not a minor thing to say).Frankie, William, Romy, and the two engineers who fixed the TV in my room were absolutely lovely. Someone even went to the store to get a bottle of (delicious!) NA champagne for us to celebrate with (we don’t drink). I will never ever forget the shower in my room. The rain shower/wall head combined on full blast is otherworldly. I understand what they mean when they call this a “wellness hotel” - it takes years of stress off. I did not leave the hotel, came to enjoy the spa and see a concert and go home; the decision to “lock-in” at the greenwich hotel was the best decision I’ve made in a while. Thank you GH!!”

“I'm a private chauffeur. I brought many clients to this hotel. It is so upscale, it's so on point, they do everything right? The staff, the ambiance all up to par. None of my clients have ever had a complaint. And I've brought many there in the last 2 years.”

“We love this hotel and would recommend it without hesitation. The location is fantastic, and the design sensibility runs through everything — design books placed throughout the public areas and the rooms ground the whole space in a real aesthetic point of view rather than generic hotel decor. The lobby lounge is beautifully done: engaging art and floor-to-ceiling windows set inside a classic building, which makes for a striking room to sit in.

We were given a status-based upgrade on arrival to a corner king — light, comfortable, with a large and equally comfortable bathroom. The in-room minibar setup is genuinely unique: essentially a stylish full bar in the room rather than the usual handful of overpriced miniatures. The bathroom products, water pressure, bed comfort, and housekeeping were all standouts.

It's also family owned, which is a real plus and comes through in the character of the place. And on value: priced around or under $500 a night, this is a deal — comparable rooms and hotels floor significantly higher.

Two things didn't go perfectly. Our arrival was rough — we pulled in during a thunderstorm to find cones blocking the area in front of the entrance, and between those and other traffic we couldn't pull up to unload, so we ended up hauling luggage out of the car in the downpour. And dinner at Lounge On Pearl was a letdown on service — the ambiance, live music, and cocktails were all excellent, but the meal itself fell short, likely a one-off staffing issue.

Once the hotel knew, they genuinely went out of their way to make things right. That kind of response is exactly why we'd come back — and we will.”

“I had an excellent experience at Ave Union! Julia was extremely knowledgeable and made me feel welcome and at home the entire week. She truly exemplifies wonderful hospitality and outstanding customer service.

Over the weekend, Doris was just as impressive — she was warm, helpful, and gave great feedback about the Union area whenever I had questions.

If you’re looking for an apartment or a short stay, Ave Union is absolutely the place. Thank you, ladies, for making my stay such a positive experience!”

“Being in hospitality for 40 plus years I was very impressed with AC hotel! The staff is AWESOME!! Matina / Kesh/ Rush are so nice! The gentleman that was working Tuesday morning at the buffet was on target! They made us feel we were special and we felt special! “It’s sooooo cold out… I live across the street from the Hotel… felt like listening to Thursday night live Jazz… as it’s sooooo chilly I was craving a hot golden milk ( steamed milk , tumeric, black pepper and honey) not on the menu but the kitchen obliged and nailed it!

Thank you thank you thank you ?”

“Staff beyond words.. my daughter had a civil wedding so we stayed within walking distance to city hall Nyc. From the doorman, receptionist, managers on shift to every single member we encountered. I would definitely can't wait for my daughter to stay every year for her anniversary to recreate amazing experiences. Thank you all staff for the days of 2/2 /-2/4... I dont have the words to thank you ... the rooms are spacious & clean. The food especially an avocado toast with cranberry. I think I covered the food, staff & location .... 10/10”

“Excellent location in the southern part of Manhattan, much quieter at night than other areas such as Times Square, Soho or Chinatown. In a 5-minute walk you will be at the One World Trade Center and in 15 in the Statue of Liberty ferry area. Our room was large although the bathroom was quite small, and the bed was very comfortable. Quite friendly staff. The worst thing is, at key times the elevator takes a long time due to the influx of people it has.”

“The only thing is that they tested the fire alarm and scared me and my Mom half to death! They said when I got downstairs from the 6th floor using the stairs-that it was a test and it said that on the TV. However, it did not say “this is a test@ on the intercom in the room the alarm was going off on and the intercom in my room they said “please exit the building immediately, there is an emergency, use the stairwell, do not use the elevator” if the can program it to say that, can’t they program it to say “this is a test” or maybe call the rooms or notify folks that there will be a test alarm when they check them in and when!? The people downstairs when we got there, thought it was funny. Mind you, this is how I was woken up and I was a mess in my jammies, hair a mess and all. I was embarrassed! I always use Best Western, it’s not the fanciest, and be a little dated (this one is NICE) but it’s always CLEAN, BUG FREE, and people are usually very professional and friendly. Also, BREAKFAST SHOULD ALWAYS BE FREE-it doesn’t cost that much, you more than make up for it if you can say “All Best Western’s Nationwide offer Free Continental Breakfast”! That’s a selling point! I would have went elsewhere had I known! Thanks!”

“We loved staying at the SoHo House NY. It felt like we were at home in this cozy space. All the people were kind and helpful. The amenities in the room were great from bathroom products to great Nespresso pods with fresh chocolate chip cookies. We loved the 6pm cocktail cart serving house tonics. Great location for walking to various neighborhoods.”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Had such a great experience at the Recreation Restaurant inside Moxy Downtown. George and Luis, the bartenders, were absolutely amazing—friendly, attentive, and on top of every detail. Their hospitality really stood out and made the night feel special. The drinks were fabulous and very well-priced too. I’m a happy camper and will definitely be back! ?”

“Super friendly staff, especially the General Manager (Robert) and the Director of Front Office (Angelli). Doorman (Jerry) will always be on guard and make you feel welcome from the second you arrive. I did not stay as a guest, but came in for a business meeting. There's a wonderful complimentary wine hour with live music from 5pm to 6pm a few times per week with snacks as well!!!”

“Budget friendly and close to Manhattan (it's the first bus stop out of the Lincoln Tunnel). The bathrooms are shared, so bring shower shoes. Window AC units work great. This is optimal for solo travelers because it is a good value and close to where you want to be. All the locks are electronic combination doors, so keep your phone with you just in case you need to call or look up a message from mgmt. Might stay again under right circumstances.”
