“Great, solid work. Highly recommended. Sam is great, outstanding customer service. These guys do honest work for great prices, they don't try to rip you off. Recently got work done and was quoted $200 less than my normal mechanic quoted me. And they proceeded to deliver a great job as well. Will likely be using them as my regular mechanic now.The only thing I will mention is that when I picked up my car, there seemed to be some grease/oil stains left on the tires, tire rims, and on a small portion of the hood that I had to clean. Likely just from when they were doing the repair. Not a huge deal, just something for them to keep a lookout for. Overall 5 stars though, really liked this place.”

“These guys are the real deal! After a week of calling multiple companies in the Bronx to remove a unauthorized car from my property I was able to find these guys online. Every other company I spoke with either gave me the run around or never called me back. I dealt with John who handled the situation for me within 15 minutes. Occasionally I'll try another mechanic for convenience purposes, but at the end of the day it's damn near impossible to find somebody better than them.They may not always be the fastest option out there (though they always do their best to accommodate) but if you want the job done RIGHT with no bs, go to Lou's. Their prices are always very reasonable, and never once have they tried to upsell or bait-and-switch me. They will also let you know which issues are more urgent than others, so that YOU can make the best choice for your situation. Good luck finding another mechanic with that level of honesty!”

“From the moment I called them, so frazzled from having a tree knock off my car bumper, Jimmy was so reassuring and I knew that I would be alright! When I walked into their shop, Jany, their receptionist greeted me warmly, and they have a tiny aquarium with mini frogs at reception! I felt like I was treated like family and it meant so much to me. When I picked up my car, I also met Gus, one of the owners, who was personable as well. They did a BEAUTIFUL job on my car, truly looks brand new! When you are going through this chaos and stressed to the max, you want a company that appreciates your business, and treats you decently! Also Jimmy added in a repair to my gas cap, where the cord had been broken, for a very tiny fee. I highly recommend this wonderful body shop, and they are right next door to the Tibbett Diner, which has been in business for many years and has excellent food. “I have been to this place twice before as they are contracted with my insurance and I needed to go for repairs after an accident. They were excellent both times, they finished the work on the time schedule that they had predicted, and I was very happy with the repairs and the bodywork.This time I went with a different car, one that was not involved in an accident. I was not aware that they do not do body work for non-accident cars. However he recognized me from the first two times I had been there, he did take a look at the car, he told me what it would probably cost outside from a facility that would do body work outside of insurance claim, and he gave his honest opinion that the work was probably not worth it for the age of the car and the continuing decay that would occur would probably take a few years, during which time I would still be able to utilize the car in an excellent fashion, and I could save the bodywork money. He also advised that if I really wanted to pursue the bodywork repair, I should not repair the existing hood panel, but should instead look for a hood panel in better quality from a salvage yard. But because of the type of car I have, he advised that it would likely cost several hundred dollars just for a used hood panel, plus the money that would be needed to repaint it and the two side panels so that they would match. The owner's name is Paul, and he had no reason to give me his honest opinion about the car but he did, and this actually ended up being confirmed by another facility ( Fort Lee road Auto body), who also confirmed that I should save the money for another use, namely to keep the car maintained well, and should hold off on making cosmetic repairs because it would not affect the functionality of the car, nor was it going to be immediate in its decay. I thank both of those facilities for giving me their honest opinion. I would go to either one anytime.”
