“Basic service in person. They don't answer the phone and can be rude. They always open on time. Undeserved by the postman, however. Constantly getting the wrong ppl's mail and / or having my mail hand delivered by my neighbors or across town when a Signature was required.”

Parking lot is a little tight, take extra precaution when pulling in & out of the parking spaces. It’s a lot easier when people don’t block the lot entrance, as the signs states. I try to look for a spot before turning in so i know how to maneuver my car”
“Greg is the best. One of the few mom and pop shops left in the neighborhood. Greg is always eager to help you out, and doesn’t nickel and dime you for extras like other big box shipping store do. Just be warned, you might stay longer than expected as you enjoy a story about the neighborhood. They make keys, help with shipping and receiving, perform notary services, etc… I enjoy supporting Greg and a local, small family business.”

“Out of all the post offices I’ve been to I’ve never had such a wonderful experience as I did today. The gentleman working this morning was so genuinely friendly. I needed stamps and he noticed my stack of Christmas cards and asked if I wanted holiday stamps, then showed me all the different ones they had. We also exchanged some pleasant conversation. Overall I’ve never had a postal worker be so nice, most of the time they seem either miserable or disinterested being there.”
“Just left after having an appointment for my passport. Bryant was so very helpful, pleasant and engaging. He assured me that I had no worries. I came prepared but was a bit nervous due to all the current events. The process was fast and very easy due to Bryant's help. Best postal service experience ever hands down. “The Barrington Post Office is the best in the area. Postmaster Yulia and clerks Lisa and Jiovette are outstanding in performing their duties, as expected, with knowledge and customer relations. They are so even tempered with their friendliness, courtesy, and understanding with ALL patrons. They never get rattled with disgruntled customers. I wish there was a method for other postmasters and clerks to watch and learn their methods in fulfilling expected customer relations. I go to this Post Office at least 5 days a week, so I have the opportunity so see their interactions with customers. THE BEST.”

After a less-than-stellar experience at another nearby location, I visited the Berlin Post Office (ZIP 08009) with cautious optimism—and I was absolutely delighted by the difference!
From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by an attendant who exemplified everything public service should be: friendly, polite, and patient. I asked the same questions I had posed elsewhere—about affordable pricing for registered mail—and instead of being met with frustration, I was guided step-by-step with professionalism and a genuinely positive attitude.
It was truly like night and day. This experience proves that quality customer service can be delivered consistently and respectfully—even within the same organization. The atmosphere here was peaceful and welcoming, making it easy to conduct business without stress or discomfort.
