“This is the best apartment in town. It's new, clean, and very safe with 24/7 security service. They have plenty of guest parking. The apartment is new, spacious and has high quality appliances. The services, such as mail delivery or maintenance services are excellent. Most of the service requests are done on the same day. Very caring and professional office staff. I had a lot of difficulties in the beginning in the online application process, but Stiben, Lisa and Brittany made is so simple! I think the service Lisa and Stiben provides is exceptional. They are very professional and caring. We love this apartment mainly because of the security, cleanliness, maintenance and the office staff (Lisa and Stiben). They are the best!”

“Our 2/2 is super spacious with plenty of closets. The terrace faces NYC and the park, which creates a great space for outdoor seating and entertaining. The neighbors are pleasant and we have never had an issue or noise complaint. The location is PERFECT!!!For sure the building is dated and is in need of some updates, but overall, for the price we paid, we are super happy.”

“Xchange is super good community near NYC and specially the staff is super friendly. I have been living here from past 2 years . Leticia is amazing manager , whenever we go with any issue she is fixing and helping it right away, she is very friendly and always on top of it when it comes to help any redidence.No complaints with the management & maintenance they are really good.”

Great location if you work in Hoboken/JC with shuttle access to Path for quick trips into the city. Ideal for both small families and young professionals. Highly recommend.”

“Your response to the situation was excellent, however I would have liked someone to check for openings around any of the plumbing piping where a rodent could possibly enter into the apartment. I did however appreciate the very quick response to our maintenance request. Thank you”

“After the recent earthquake, my bathroom door needed to be repaired. The super, Gilberto, did a great job! When I returned home later in the day, the door was completely fixed and there was no sign of any activity....the work and cleanup were well above my expectations!”

“The community is well kept and quiet, the management staff are very polite, helpful, and happy to see you. It's on the pricier side, but well worth the price. Updated appliances, beautiful kitchen and flooring, fairly nice bathrooms, and in unit laundry in many of the higher end apartments.I've been living here for about 4 months now and I do believe ill still be living here for at least another few years.”

“Love living here, we moved in August and we couldn’t be happier about our choice. The location, units, and having Whole Foods in the lobby are excellent factors but it’s the people here who really make this place shine. Jamal, the building manager, is extremely hard working and responsive. The engineering staff, Hakim + Adam are very intelligent, quick to sort out any problems, and very trustworthy. The housekeeping staff is great, there’s an elderly gentleman who’s always diligently cleaning (I’m kicking myself for forgetting his name). The entire security team is outstanding, special shout out to Reggie who always has a kind word to say but truly they’re all fantastic. The head security guard (he’s more frequently toward the Whole Foods end) is very astute, friendly, and does his job extremely well. The parking manager Joseph Navarro is also very helpful and friendly. The building is lucky to have such a great staff because that’s a huge part of what makes living here feel like a safe happy home.”

“This is a re-submit of old review.Currently, I have been dealing with an individual landlord who rents mortgaged houses to pay back on them. And I'd say that experience was horrible, and these guys are quite competent & resourceful compared to individual landlords.Despite the old age of building, this place has a very open layout; you won't find that kind of feature on comparative homes, probably apartments (apart from the sister apartment near the cathedral, but ive heard horror stories).Depending on the apartment, you also get a very good view. Again, for quite affordable cost.If there were to be downsides, it would be prevalence of crimes happening near the area, which was primary reason Id had to leave because of my property that I parked outside (it was a motorcycle i was building) stolen. But the tradeoff here would be the location of apartment, since it's pretty much on central of newark & highway entrances.Moreover, the laundry machines were often out of service; im not sure if that's still the case. Unfortunately, since those machines are often maintained with service contract, it's probably out of control for them to maintain these on their own. I'd just use the nearby laundromat.If you are reading this, Nadia:Thank you for your good work.”

“As a tenant for 3 years, I really have to disagree with at least two reviews on here.I have been here long enough to witness some changes in management & Timeka has single-handedly turned this building around and gave meaning to the word "Community".Residents would have to swim through a sea of packages- often even "lost" but since Timeka has come, no more lost packages.Now our residents have a top of the line smart package management system.Perhaps some tenants haven't lived here long enough to witness these improvements?Residents would smoke in grounds, and Timeka has enforced the non-smoking rules to ensure that families arent exposed and safe from any fire hazards.I will add that I haven't seen as much ORDER in the building since Timeka. Also frequent engagement and followup via email.Also, elevators are working 98% of the time with any issues being promptly communicated and often addressed within hours.The community events are all a part of the quality of life here to add and the maintenance guy, Carl is great and attentive as well.This is my 3rd year as a resident here, & I must say that the best part of my experience here is the service and attentiveness that you get from the staff-especially Timeka & Carl, both of whom have always exceeded our expectations and have been a pleasure to work with.Everything from managing, leasing, taking care of repairs, being as accommodating as possible during the renewal process, promptly addressing any questions or concerns…THIS is the kind of service that truly makes 221 Bergen a great value!!! “I’m very excited to write a review about this complex. This is my first time living alone and I must say it’s been amazing and the transition into the apartment has been so smooth. The maintenance crew has very very helpful and responsive. John one of the supers at the complex has been so nice and helpful whenever I call him for any work. He is always available and friendly regardless if he’s working or off since he lives on site. The complex is clean and the neighbors are very friendly. The officer manager is very nice and easy to talk to as well. It’s been a pleasure to live here!”

“I moved into Country Club Towers I three weeks ago and so far I’m very happy. My apartment is well-appointed for the age of the building (1964), noise suppression is generally excellent. HUGE windows and beautiful parquet floors make for a bright, inviting home, and heat is retained well, which saves me money.Anna was helpful explaining the leasing process and answering my multitude of questions.”

“It's a very clean and maintained building. The residing superintendent is great at repairs around the perimeters of the three buildings in Hackensack on Anderson Street and inside residents apartments. It a very quite and lovely area with several restaurants in the immediate vicinity and the NJ transit station and bus to NYC all in the same area. And the people are friendly.”

“One of architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe's masterworks hidden in plain sight in Newark NJ. Construction started in 1958 and the building opened in 1960. Lovely Miesian exterior in beautiful setting close to Branch Brook Park. It would be great to see the building being restored to its former architectural glory. The nearby Pavilion Towers were also designed by Mies van der Rohe (1886-1969) and offer the opportunity to see three original Mies buildings in close proximity.”

“Great place to live. Lot to do. Beautiful pools. Gym is awesome. 24 hour concierge. Game room, Beautiful Nursery. Awesome playground for kids. Private walkway by the River. Bus to NYC and Transfer station right in the building. Close to most Highways, Airport etc. Friendly staff. Security and safe covered parking and much more. Perfect to Rent from owners or to Buy. Condos are spacious, quiet and offer great views. I own it for 23 years and love it.”

“Two years at Baker building and we love it. The building is always clean, uplifting music in the lobby. We have great view from all our windows, and no draft at all even we are facing the ocean.Apartments are spacious and beautiful. For me no concierge is even better, less every day chitchatting)))All our neighbors are very sweet, we got to know many. All problems in the unit were always fixed next day.Prices are lower than other buildings around, we still trying to guess why, but in 2 years we couldn’t find anything wrong.If you get an apartment here, you are lucky I think.”

“It will be 3 years in July living here & I have really enjoyed living here . However, at least 4 months ago the water temperature in my shower has been very inconsistent. I have had maintenance here and also called several times because water temperature is not good. Taking a cold shower at night and especially in thr morning is not fun.”
