Scheduling exams online is simple, and I have no complaints about the optometrist - but don't even THINK of obtaining hardware here. (I made that mistake because they were in my insurance network.) I ordered my glasses on the day I had the exam, and was supposed to have them in two weeks. On the day they were supposed to be ready, the online status was 'delayed.' Forget phoning the store - one only gets bots, just as with the chat. Now, yet another week has passed, and I don't know what the problem is. They are the absolute worst for hardware! I received my contacts from another source in 2 days - another pair of glasses (which I ordered online) in a week - and now I'm waiting for weeks, with nothing but a canned message that I should 'check for updates within the next 8 days.'

Dr Patel was amazing and very friendly and the first younger woman that helped me was also friendly. The older lady who checked me out seemed pretty annoyed that I didn’t get any of the add ons and yelled out “thanks for nothing” to the lady that was originally helping me out before giving me my paperwork and telling me I was all set. It would have been 5 stars if not for her.

I had the most considerate and wonderful experience at Visionworks in Bloomfield, New Jersey. The person who helped me Ebonnie Cooper, who turned out to be the General Manager, could not have been more helpful, professional and courteous in trying to help me resolve a problem with my glasses. I was so impressed and grateful for her above and beyond assistance and demeanor. It made me feel better than ever about working with Visionworks.

Dr. Patel at this VisionWorks in Bloomfield is excellent. It had been many years since I’d had an eye exam and was feeling a bit nervous. Dr. Patel was so kind and encouraging, and was very thorough during the appointment. She gave me some trial contact lenses to test out to make sure they were comfortable and worked for me. I left the appointment feeling very taken care of and totally at-ease, and ready to get my vision health back on track. They had a decent selection of glasses frames as well and some sales available. As a whole, the location is just ok, but worth going for Dr. Patel!

The time I came 12/22 there was 2 employees arguing in front of me; unprofessional. Today, again Unprofessional customer service. I called in advance about ordering contacts, and who ever was the receptionist told me to just come in to order and pay for them. That they’d even give me a copy of my prescription(because I needed contacts asap). I come in today was helped by Tracy. She had let me know my exam has expired and I’d need to make an appt for a new fitting. Nothing was mentioned to me from the prior phone call. I told her how it was unprofessional to waste time to come in because I had 2 different stories. Tracy had a face like she didn’t even want to be there that’s first, unpleasant and when I communicated the issue she didn’t have nothing to say not even an apology. I will gladly finish my visit and get my contacts and never come back. Totowa nor Paramus have staff like this.

The moment I walked through the door of Vision works the hospitality was great. Awesome customer service and also the eye exam went better than I imagined.

Immediately I was accommodated with my appointment. The customer service staff had trouble keeping my entry information saved in her tablet but I felt the honest persistence of making it right. I’m pleased with the savings I got after she appropriated the incurred services with my insurance, I could have not availed such without her help. The eye tech and the doctor was all great with my concerns. Thank you all, excited to see clearer again soon when my new glasses is ready ?

The customer and eye care services are better than their eye glass selections. I have been coming to them for the past six years. I should not be seeing the same eye glasses being sold six years later. My last two pair of glasses came unglued where they join. No one is keeping the demo glasses clean. You have to ask them for cleaner to do that yourself. The eye glass selections for those with United Healthcare are the cheapest glasses made and are just very plain. Don't believe the hype that you see on television regarding their sale and deals. Those glasses on the commercial cost $129 and up. The ones your insurance pay for aren't shown in it's commercial. They cost $69. I'm so disappointed in their eye glass selections it's just hideous. They weren't always like this. When I first started getting my eye glasses from Vision works their lower price selections were amazingly praise worthy. That's not the case now. This place used to always be very busy. You may as well say the good ole days. Now you have to suffer and buy what they have or go elsewhere. As for your glasses that's price is without the prescription and eye exam. Those are added cost. No coupons or sale applies to your insurance. Only for customers that pay with cash, debit card. That's the fine print that can barely be seen during the commercial. If you want transition glasses it's cost $150 dollars and more depending upon what glasses you're getting. You'll get blurred vision when you see your bill.

This is my 2nd go around with Visionworks and what a headache it has been!! I brought my daughter on July 22 to get glasses and metioned her wanting contacts. I asked what the process was and was sure to let them know she was going to College on August 18. Fast forward, her glasses came in and when she picked them up she mentioned the contacts and the "class" shd needed to take this was on July 31. I was on the phone and heard the representative causally mention her contacts weren't in box. It is now August 15 and she leave in 3 days. I called today and couldnt speak to anyone in Bloomfield but was assured by the call center a manager would call me. No return call. No contacts. I have gone to the Bloomfield location 2 times with no resolution and I am truly disappointed in the service. On July 31 when the contacts "weren't in the box" there should have been some urgency.

I don't understand the concept of having a schedule appointment anymore. As I seat here in the waiting area, it's been one hour exactly since my schedule appointment. Not only that, I was already here this morning and rescheduled for the afternoon because it took them 35 mins to call me. When they did I asked how much longer it would be and the young lady said there were two people ahead of me. So, I rescheduled as if other people didn't have things to do. It is my first time coming to this office and depending how the rest of this visit goes I may not come back. I can understand waiting 10 mins past your appointment time, but an hour is a little bit of an outreach. I'm sure that my appointment would have been canceled or rescheduled if I showed up a few mins late. Doctor's offices often do this, they book several appointments for the same slot only to have people wait and wait. It shouldn't take more than 45 mins to an hour to get regular eye exam from your appointment time. I'm not waiting much longer, I'm giving them another 5 minutes before I leave. I believe I have given them more than enough time. I'll update my review if I find it necessary, but I am honestly a bit agitated and annoy at the moment. It's officially been an hour and 10 mins...still waiting.UPDATE: So, told them I was giving them another 5 mins, and they saw me within 4. The doctor was nice, and so was the rest of the team. So, I'm giving them two more stars. No one should have to wait over an hour to see a doctor.

The doctor who saw me for my eye exam was very good and I was happy that I could replace my broken glasses for free. But I called to cancel an appointment twice and the Automated system transferred me to the front desk and no one answered which was very frustrating.
