“Extremely helpful and knowledgeable about anything Lionel product-related. The owner is both friendly and helpful. If he doesn't have what you need he can get it for you and the community surrounding the shop is filled with friendly people with the same passion for collecting and running model trains both pre-war and post-war!”

“Although I have emphathy for the inconvenience & frustration for lack of consistency w/store hours...the owner has been sick, in the hospital & recouping from a broken foot! Also, the loss of her sweetmother (reg customers know who I'm speaking of), & another very unexpected death in the family, all in the past year +/- have been hard for her. Dare I suggest you call 1st, just to verify her open hours. Just a thought. I'm just saying...?”

“The best shop in Sunnyside (and they’re dog friendly!) My pup and I never walk out of there empty handed —she’s always devastated when we walk by and the store is closed. So many amazing gems at Bliss. Could not recommend it more!”

“I had an item that I needed to return and eventhough their sales are final the manager in the store let me exchange and I ended up spending more bc I loved her massive safety pin earrings. I will be back bc this really stylish man convinced my girlfriend to buy some heels”

“The Missing Link is a gem in NYC. I went in to find cufflinks and a stud set as accessories on a tuxedo for my wedding; the collection was incredible and I found the perfect, unique pieces. I had been to several department stores where the selection was lacking, but not here at The Missing Link. The experience was enhanced by Michael who was engaging, patient, and courteous. Highly recommend.”

“I have been consigning with Designer Revival from its original inception over 30 years ago. They do a fantastic job for me. Their advice on pricing is extremely accurate, though they are very willing to accept my input when I have a different view. The helpful consideration of Tiffany and her staff makes the entire process a pleasure. A few times over the years, I have tried another consignment shop, but I’ve never found a better sales partner than Designer Revival. Nancy”

“Lovely little vintage boutique with equally lovely staff. This pint-sized shop is packed with great merchandise - both new and vintage - and I could have easily spent hours in there, poring over little shelf, nook, and display. Can’t wait to wear all the goodies I purchased today! Glad we popped in after brunch. Will definitely pop in when I’m back in Astoria!”

“5 stars just for customer service. I wish I got the young lady’s name because she was so sweet and helpful. I do know she’s a fashion student in NY. She helped me decide on a gorgeous shirt that is not my usual go to color.4 stars for the shop itself. It’s hard to rate vintage shops since they all offer different items which may or may not fit in with your style. That being said, this is a cute curated shop with some interesting finds. I would say it is a true “vintage” shop with older items in great condition of course.3 stars for the prices. The biggest issue for me was the cost. However I wasn’t surprised since it’s located in Hoboken. My goal was not to find something amazing for cheap, it was to find something interesting which I did.I would recommend this place to anyone looking for original items at a higher price range and to anyone that enjoys vintage shops.”

“Cute vintage shop! Everything inside looks amazing! Haven’t purchased anything yet bc I’m still looking for the perfect piece. Took off a star because literally nothing has a price tag.. nobody wants to constantly ask ‘how much is this?’”

“I have been emailing with manager Lisa about donating some household items, and can't overstate what a pleasure it is to deal with her. She is responsive, kind, accommodating, and so helpful. I wish all businesses and organizations could be like her. I will look forward to stopping in the store next time I am in the area.”

“Bought a beautiful, almost new, Louis Vuitton! It was my first & I love it! The owner is quite lovely & was very helpful & courteous to me. I went in , wearing pajamas & got treated the same as the woman wearing the expensive coat. I had been eyeing the Louis for some time & am glad every time I see it.”

“A fun experience and probably the best vintage market in New York. Yes 70% is overpriced but that’s just New York. Some sellers are very cool people and know their niche. It’s an amazing way to spend your Sunday and sellers accept Venmo or card. Also, it’s great it’s year round to enjoy. I came looking for vintage fur coat and found the one! Can be quite overwhelming the first time as it’s so much to look at. My advice is to not buy the first thing you see and shop the whole market or more and think about it and come back to it as you might find what you want at a better deal or style. Apparently the sellers stall fees proceeds goes to the school that holds the indoor portion of the market which is awesome.Honestly could be a bit “grander” for a full day of exploring a lá rose bowl in LA.”

“Shopping here is like shopping on Rodeo Drive. The prices of their designer clothes can’t be beat. All items are in excellent condition and curated by type. I’ve gotten Chanel, St.John and Hermes designers at at half of what I would have to spend on 5th Avenue.”

“This place is a total gem! Really great selection, with what I believe are fair prices for items. I got Athleta dress pants NWT, Lilly Pulitzer sundresses and a cardigan NWT, NYDJ jeans, Theory vest, CeCe dress--just to name a few of the items I bought. The store was clean and organized. There was a large selection of women and children's items. It seemed that a lot of the customers who came in are regulars and know the owner, which was really nice to see. There are fitting rooms where you can try on the items. The shop accepts Venmo which was super convenient for me. I definitely will be returning to the store.”

“Love this place. Lots of super-cheap clothes. My advice on how to shop is to make three or four rounds just to make sure you didn't miss anything. Friendly staff, good vibes here. Also, I thought it worth adding that I've been to plenty of bigger, chain resale shops in NY and NJ like Unique, 2nd Ave Thrift, and this place is better. It's clean, rotates stock, and is far more pleasant.”

“Excellent resource if you're looking for costumes for themed parties, Halloween, or any other themed occasion. They stock second hand and vintage theater costumes. For Europeans it's worth noting that most won't be older than a few decades at most, so this is NOT a place to find a, say, authentic flapper dress from the 20s.However, if you're having a 20's themed party, you will find plenty of lovely, reproduced, embroidered flapper dresses that have featured in stage plays or elsewhere.Prices range from 20is into the 200s for leather corsages or embroidered pieces.Definitely a good place for band or other stage costumes- they also have masks, wigs gloves, belts and kinky accessories.Staff are knowledgeable and very helpful, and costumes are organized in categories, f.e. "y2k", "20s", or the like.”

“Beautiful Lighting designs, built in the US from in-house factory made parts. The patinas are applied in-house. Essentially, each piece is customized. I own a Super Nova chandelier, and it really ties the room together!A great crew who will work with you on the details!”

“Wonderful store run by some really lovely people! The ladies here do a great job organizing everything, and even post cute outfit ideas on their instagram. They have a great variety of items and all the prices are very reasonable! I always find something great when I come here and recommend the shop to everyone.”

“Hollywood Heros has two things going for it. 1) An amazing, incredible selection of toys, new and vintage. 2) The nicest owners possible. My 12 y.o. son is a huge Star Wars collector, and he discovered HH on Yelp about. year ago. We've gone maybe a dozen times now even though it's an hour round trip. We often find rare and impossible to get items here and if it's not on the shelves, it's probably in their basement, so just ask. We became friendly with Jordan and Val on our trips there, and Jordan has been especially gracious. He always has time to talk, answer questions, and be friendly. Even when we come to just window shop, we still have great talks. Recently my son was looking for an ARC-170 gunship, and Jordan and Val had just gotten one in that had missing parts, and they gave it to my son as a thank you for being a loyal customer. It made my son's month. The store is a block from the central shopping district, so when we go we get bagels or Korean chicken and make a day out of it, or go the few blocks to Trader Joes. I know a Trader Joes isn't a selling point for a store specifically, but as a parent of someone who loves shopping here it's nice to have a cute town that can be part of the experience.”

“One of my favorite thrift shops in the city. There's a great selection of shoes, nick nacks bags and clothes. Sometimes you really luck up and strike gold, other times you don't.”

“For secondhand clothing, the UWS is replete with stellar options {Housing Works on W 74th, Housing Works on W 96th, Unique Boutique on W 83rd, St Francis Thrift Store on W 96th = all excellent options}. UES has great thrift options too: Unique Boutique on E 94th, Housing Works on E 90th, Goodwill NYNJ on E 88th, & there’s another one in East Harlem}. Once you step in and see how current and high quality the pieces they have are, and for such bargain prices (plenty of great pieces between $5 - $20), you’ll basically never shop new again. It’ll change the way you shop in nyc.Housing Works on 74th & Columbus —this one in particular has some terrific designer fashion finds; it also has a very cool home-wear section and some collectible pieces that are sold off on an auction basis. It’s very very cool. You can find some really stellar finds at excellent prices at both of the Unique Boutiques on UWS and UES.”
