ACME Markets in Boonton, NJ, offers a welcoming grocery shopping experience with a friendly staff dedicated to serving customers' needs. The store features a variety of departments, including a bakery that provides custom cakes and a deli known for its party trays and platters. The butcher block offers a wide selection of meat and seafood, including sushi trays, while the produce department is well-stocked with fresh options. Customers appreciate the store's ease of shopping, with sale items readily available and accurate discounts applied at checkout. However, some reviews mention high prices and issues with customer service, particularly at the customer service desk. Notably, staff members like Pat and Kathryn have been highlighted for their exceptional service and friendliness, making shopping trips more enjoyable. Overall, ACME Markets is praised for its selection and service, despite some areas needing improvement.
The restrooms were dirty. The deli counter was not staffed, and the chicken was tough. This was a single visit because I was on my way home. I cannot determine if this was a bad day or typical for this location.
