They handled both of my dogs with great care and patience, which really put me at ease. Yorkies can be a bit particular, but the groomers did an amazing job—both pups came out looking absolutely adorable, clean, and perfectly styled.
What stood out most was the attention to detail and how comfortable my dogs seemed when I picked them up. It’s clear they prioritize not just appearance, but also the well-being of the pets.

This time we ordered the Chicken Milanese and the Linguini with Clam Sauce, and everything was absolutely delicious. Chef Constantino is incredibly attentive, as is the entire staff. You can really feel the personal attention and care that goes into both the food and the service. It's a smaller, intimate restaurant, so I definitely recommend making reservations well in advance. Highly recommend — we will definitely be back!

My earliest memories of the restaurant date to the original location on Union Boulevard in Totowa. My grandfather would take the family there on Saturday nights. The room had red walls and a dark, elegant atmosphere that captured the classic Italian-American style of the 1990s. What truly set the place apart, however, was the service. Our server, Albert (Ali), an Egyptian gentleman of remarkable professionalism, remembered the details that matter. He always asked about my wrestling, hockey, and soccer, delivering the specials with the poise and care of a true hospitality professional. In an industry where genuine connection is increasingly rare, Albert embodied it.
When Chef Lou moved to the current location, we followed without hesitation. Albert was right there waiting on us again, with class. The food and the hospitality remained exceptional and never a misstep. Recently, I celebrated my anniversary at Lu Nello’s and it was extremely outstanding. The head waiter shared stories of Albert that brought those childhood evenings flooding back. I came close to tears; the moment was deeply sentimental, yet filled with gratitude. The entire evening was seamless and memorable.
A practical note from years of dining out and working in restaurants: arrive early, enjoy a drink at the bar, and settle in before moving to your table once the full party has arrived. For the meal itself, the stuffed veal chops with extra mushrooms remain my enduring favorite, thus executed with the kind of care and balance that reflects real kitchen discipline.
Thank you, Chef Lou, and staff at Lu Nello’s, for the memories, the consistency, and the hospitality. We will keep coming back.
