“My husband and I decided to call Hidden Fence as a neighbor recommended to us. Our Yorkie Oliver has responded wonderfully to the boundaries! Our training sessions were only a few weeks with Paul! He was wonderful with Oliver and especially patient with us! I would highly recommend anyone who feels the need to add that extra protection for their fur baby to not hesitate to call Hidden Fence! “Darren is a very good IPO obedience trainer! I have worked with Darren with my two German Shepherds in the sport of I.P.O and one has a B.H and one that is far less advanced. Darren's love of dogs comes across in everything he does! He is not only very patient and knows to "read" dogs, but has exceptionally good people skills in working with the owner as a coach in guiding the owner along. So there is training the dog and there is training the owner and I think real skill is required to bring a person along and communicate good timing, good motivational obedience methods. He is very fair with his prices and with his time. Overall, I couldn't recommend a more honest, straightforward person to deal with.”

“I love this store! First of all, it isn't a big box pet store, but independently owned and run. They have a great selection of products that are different from what I can find elsewhere. So, I always make a point of coming by to pick up foods that my cats love. The staff is friendly and there is a frequent shopper card you can sign up for with discounts. Highly recommended!”

“4 paws up for HuggleHound toys!! The Beloved Goldendoodle has a couple of their toys, and his current BFF is a crocodile (we have named him Lyle, in case anyone remembers the children's book from years ago about Lyle the Crocodile living in NYC) that has had a bit too much love. I noticed that he currently has a mangled ear, and figured I would buy a couple of new ones; unfortunately, I didn't see "Lyle" anywhere on HH's website (I thoroughly checked it twice). I sent an email to customer service with a photo to see if he was still available, and received a reply first-thing the following morning from Beth; sadly, he has been discontinued, but she located a vendor for me and a few new crocodiles will be arriving soon (which will be known as Lyle, Lyle and Lyle). HH's toys are terrific, they have a lot of them as college mascots, and when they get really gross you can toss them in the wash. 5 Stars for Beth as well for the quick reply, she obviously understands that this was a toy emergency.”

“After reading many of the comments and stopping at the store myself twice I can see what people are complaining about the poor customer service, but I feel we are also living in a world that any constructive criticism or feedback given to anyone has to be with a huge smile and bubbly personality. This is an Awesome fish shop where all the fish are well kept and in a clean environment. Their coral selection is amazing and yes some are very expensive, but it's part of the hobby specially with the rare coral and fish species in this store. Every one of the guys seems to be very knowledgeable and tell you exactly what you need. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone. Also they sell saltwater and freshwater super cheap .”
“So sad that this location is closing. My cats are so sad! The store was always super clean and the staff very friendly. The closest store is now in Cedar Knolls which is not convenient .”

“What a wonderful place! All rescues and shelters should strive to be like this place. I have adopted and dealt with many shelters and rescues over the years and this place is by far the best. Very clean, every staff member I talked to was extremely nice, you can tell their hearts are in it without the pretentious attitude some rescues have. Hassle free adoption process. They even have a gift shop! Just a word of warning about the cat rooms. Don’t try and go just to “look”. You may end up getting picked by someone and leaving with a new family member.”

“Choice Pet in NP offers qyality supplies for all kinds of pets and a friendly and knowledgeable staff. The manager here, Erica, correctly diagnosed my fish with swim bladder disorder. None of the other pet stores in the area had any idea what was wrong with the fish, even though swim bladder disorder is very common. In fact they didn’t have anyone on staff who knew anything about fish at all. While poor Glubby didn’t make it, at least Erica could tell us what was happening so we were able to try to save him.”

“The availability of most foods and toys is very good. They have great prices. The staff is always friendly and ask if you need help. Bring your own bag, as most places are and sign up for a rewards account for emailed rewards. To save on paper I get my receipts emailed. I shop at this location frequently and recommend it.”
“When we were out on Small Business Saturday we stopped in at Fur Lov of Pawz, which is one of our favorite places to pick up treats for our dogs. I actually wish I knew what the treats tasted like, because they actually look yummy...and the dogs tear them up. I love going into this little shop simply because they are dog friendly and EVERY time I stop in I get to meet some cute pups. The women running this place are absolutely great and they are SOOOO helpful. The stuff in here is very cool too, stuff for dogs and cats with friendly customer service...the only downside to the store is that it is a bit small so they don't have a ton of room for inventory...they also don't sell big bags of food (not enough room). It's kind of like a dog boutique. Very cool...I love stopping in here, and you will too!”

“I know I could have purchased the things I needed for my dog online but since this store is within walking distance to my home I decided to give it a try. I recently adopted a dog and needed a few things. I have to say the employees I met were extra helpful. One younger guy walked me to the isle and pointed out the item I needed. Then a younger girl actually fixed the straps on the harness I was buying and put it on my dog. So helpful. That experience was so rare I had to leave a review.”
