“I went to DiMarco's Butcher Shoppe for the first time to get ravioli, as per my husband's recommendation. I picked up 2 packs of cheese, and 2 packs of roasted eggplant. Both were amazing! The next week I picked up a rib-eye steak for my husband and since I don't eat red meat, I asked the butcher for his cut recommendation for which my husband was EXTREMELY grateful. My husband could not say enough about the tenderness and quality of DiMarco's product, compared to our last butcher experience ( City Fundry), which he described as supermarket quality at twice the price!!! Needless to say, DiMarco's will be our go to place for pastas and meats moving forward!!!”

“Wow! I got some ground beef for burgers, as well as a flank steak, and Jen ground the beef in front of me. It made for a delicious, fresh burger — the best beef I’ve had in NYC.
I made the flank steak into a stir-fry, and it was wonderful as well. Beautiful, tender, and high quality meat with no off odors like you might find at other places.”

“Imo East village kielbasa is very lean. As lean as I’ve tried. With that the flavors and smoke are more subtle as opposed to more big flavor ie fattier kielbasa. I love their kielbasa- my all time fav. My family does not agree w me - not juicy enough for them. To eaches own.
Regardless of taste, one cannot deny the quality.”

“This is hands down the best steak Ive ever had. I eat out multiple times a month at various places all over NJ & NY and this is the best steak Ive ever had. I took home the A5 Japanese wagyu, it was unreal. The prime marinated hangar steak, amazing. The deli counter is out of this world, very decently priced and the food is so fresh and creative. A million different kinds of salads and stuffed peppers along with traditional small Italian dinners like eggplant rollatini. Just go, you will not be disappointed!PS Dont let the guy who answers the phone deter you from going here.”

Its been weeks and I still remember the taste. they gave me specific instructions on how to cook it which was very helpful. The steak was huge and fed 3 people. Then I went to key foods and was surprised that it was also outrageous for choice meat. I found Los Vecinos on google and before I went, I called the store. I spoke to Ricardo. He knew exactly what I was looking for and custom cut the meat for me. He was so helpful and friendly. The prices were so reasonable. “There are a few butcher shops on authur ave but for me this is my favorite. This place will literally do whatever you want them to do to a cut of meat. They also carry things like duck, lamb, rabbit, quail, and a few other more exotic meats if you're into that kind of stuff. Great place and make sure you ask for Jimmy he is a true professional!”

The quality of meats they curate are top notch and their hot Italian sausages are second to none! An authentic New York butcher with saw dust on the floor to boot! I also can’t say enough about the owner and staff. Maria used to run the business and sold it to a longtime employee who is a staple of the shop. It’s so nice to see a longstanding and dedicated employee take over the business and preserve this historic place - you get the same great service and product that this shop has always been known for. Whether it’s a rack of lamb, steak chops, sausages, or freshly sliced bacon, this place is a 10/10. Couldn’t recommend more highly! Buy local and support this small business!”
