Every year without fail we run out of gas. The company's customer service and delivery schedule is extremely poor.

The overseas customer service is terrible. They are very nice but they don't know the business, the systems, vernacular nor have any authority to make decisions. The local service is fine, delivery, etc but you HAVE to bring back the customer service to America. This is not the first time. It is so bad I am thinking of leaving. I had a leak and it took several phone calls to get someone here. It took over a week, we all know that could have ended catastrophic. Again, this is not the first time. In fact EVERY time I call and get them it is a nightmare. Bring back the customer service to the local office. It use to be great.

They installed a faulty smart meter. The meter was glued down with caulk which separated from the tank and is now dangling. Incompetence at its best, and to add insult to injury, when i tried to call to have it remedied they said someone would call me to schedule the service and i have yet to hear anything. Customer service is “centralized” in the philippines. what a joke. they said there would be a charge and i would have to call back to have it removed. I never asked to have the meter installed in the first place. . this company is not run efficiently and only care about money. they say they value my business but they really don’t. if you are a new propane customer give them a pass and try someone else. Amerigas let me down.

Every year it is a very difficult process to enroll in the Pre-Buy Program. Customers can no longer discuss the prebuy rates with our local office and it isn't easy reaching a manager who has the authority to negotiate pre-buy rates. I finally was able to reach management and we arrived at an acceptable pre-buy rate. I signed the contract on-line and paid for my winter supply of gas in full. Now I am receiving bills for an amount I already paid. Very poor customer service.

I called to inquire about becoming a customer. I told the employee that I would be a low volume customer. She asked me what gas appliances I had. I told her just a kitchen stove. She told me they would not place a tank for just a stove. I told her I would be willing to buy a tank. She told me that they don't sell tanks. In so many words she told me that they don't want low volume customers. When I get my gas dryer and gas hot water heater.....I won't be calling them back.

Well I asked for a tank to be moved at my house and someone told me they would call me back in a week...it's been at least a month and 1/2...Gross customer service.

NO GOOD! I have been on automatic delivery for over 20 yearsThe last three times they let me run out of propane After each foul up they told me this will never happen again I live less then 5 miles from their Clinton NJ base and yet I have to get the run around from someone in the Philippines (who happen to be very sympathetic) This will be my next to last time I deal with them Because after this I'm getting another provider.

Overcharged me, didn't receive my order on time or the right amount, collecting late fees after I talked to 5 different people about getting my balance fixed before I pay you. Was told I would get a call from a manager about this. Trying to buy my leased tank, no responses. Was told debt collectors would stop calling until we get my issues sorted out, they're still calling me.Horrible customer support and service. You have a few good employees on call, but your follow up performance is abysmal.I will actively discourage my friends and associates to stay away UNLESS my issues are addressed SOON.Edit to response: You should just check your records because these have been escalated over the phone more than once. I'm honestly done trying to help you guys. Do your job or don't get paid.

Customer service sub par not helpful at all they let my tank run out this winter and 0 sense of urgency on their part. Looking to get a different service. They are also very expensive

What word would you describe as worse than HORRIBLE? Horrendous, lousy, awful....Well if you can think of a word, that would be the word to use to describe the customer service provided by AmeriGas Propane company. If there was a way to give a NEGATIVE STAR, that is how I would rate their service. We are a first time customer and have not yet received the service we were told that we would receive. And already, we want to cease our services with AmeriGas. We are new on a property that uses propane. As we were shopping around by calling different companies to provide us services, we were told that AmeriGas has to service our tank because their “sticker” is on the tank. We called AmeriGas on Tuesday and told them that it was an emergency. We were scheduled for Thursday of the same week for a safety check and propane delivery. The safety check person came and told us that a different person will deliver the propane within 24 hours. Well, today is Saturday and each time we called, there was a discrepancy in the information provided to us. As a family, we lost patience with all the LIES that were provided by this company. There is no INTEGRITY in the information provided to us. At least, we stopped believing in the information provided over the phone because each time we called customer service or the sales department, nothing came through with the information that was given to us. We were told SEVERAL times that we were placed on an "emergency" delivery and we would get our propane on the same day. Well, I hate to tell you that we are still waiting. The automated machine gave one date for the delivery, the customer agent for scheduling gave another date, and sales gave a different date. The WORST part, we were told that someone needed to be at home for delivery. Imagine being in a COLD house with 3 kids for two days “waiting for propane delivery" that never came. WE WARN YOU TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. If you are choosing to do business with AmeriGas, you will need to allot several hours waiting on the phone to listen to the deceiving information provided by customer service (most likely outside of the USA), lots of patience to wait for the outrageous service, and lots of graces to not freeze or become ill from taking cold showers and staying in a cold house that even using a space heater is not enough to keep one room warm. It would have been a different story if AmeriGas was honest in the first place and told us when we first called that they would not be able to provide services until…(whatever date, hopefully within a week). We would have had the option to plan accordingly... stay at a family home or rent a hotel room. Our frustration is coming from them promising services and falling short to adhere to the promise. We want OUT of this contract that we, in some way, did not choose, but automatically came with the house. AmeriGas, if you are hearing us, this is NOT a way to provide service to your first time customers. We are EXTREMELY dissatisfied and disappointed and would NEVER recommend your company to ANYONE.
