“Scott is a class act, he found out that we were a nonprofit when were buying items for our charity raffle, and he proactively donated to us. I will gladly take my money to him, as someone who gives back to the community.”
“What a terrific local business, which has been in business over 50 years. The shop is located in the heart of downtown Scotch Plains. They sell and buy all sorts of coins, collectible medallions and other hard to find items. On occasion they do receive and sell sports cards, which is what brought my daughter and I into the shop today. Lou and his family couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful - thank you so much! My daughter also bought an ancient Roman coin, which came with documentation and was reasonably priced.
Give the shop a try, you never know what unique item might pique your curiosity! Ample parking behind the shop or across the street, some parking in front.”
“These guys are SO friendly and helpful, and have a ton of materials and expertise. Most of the stuff is geared towards table top gaming, but I make miniatures (dioramas, dollhouse scale objects) and they were able to answer all my technical questions about my own projects. They also have a big table with terrain in the back, ostensibly to host games. They have a lot of Tamiya, green stuff, testors, polystyrene, and citadel supplies. Easily the best hobby shop in the NYC area.”
“This place is awesome, probably the nicest family owned business I ever been too. From the grandson all the way up to the grandfather. Always get new product and a bunch of vintage stuff. If your in the area definitely stop by ??????”
“Dr. Saslow is very knowledgeable and also most pleasant in conversation, call to make an appointment and I strongly recommend Ye Olde Curiositie Shoppe for all your relatedbusiness needs”
“They always have what I need. I never pay full price, wait for a sale, look for a coupon or download the app to get coupons right on your phone. Great holiday decor!”
“Started coming here a year ago after moving. Always a pleasant experience, the organization and ease of seeking out exactly what you're looking for + finding something new you'd like is a major benefit. The online shopping component with pick-up (or shipping if you're short on time) along with the helpfulness of the people working here are also reasons why I end up coming back.I'm a big proponent of shopping around in different spots and I've tried other shops that are not too far away but end up defaulting to here 95% of the time, if not more by now, due to the all the positives.”
“Well stocked inventory. Nice mix of self checkout and staffed cashiers lets me choose. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. My go-to art supply source. Great expertise in framing photos and art work.”
“Plenty of inventory. The store is well organized. However, try to stay away from seasonal items and wait after they are out of season. The part that I didn't like was the fact that there are no cashiers, it is only self checkout.”
“Very well stocked...very clean and staff friendly....great stuff here! I could spend hours in this store...they have every type of craft you may want or need...from small furniture/lamps to artifical flowers, cake decorating equipment to garden items...huge variety of other items...this is a must visit if you are a crafter...”
“Sam and the other fellow could not be nicer.Knowledgeable, quick and sociable. More than fair prices.Definitely going back for more transactions. I want to browse also. Interesting collection on display.”

“I use to hate going here. But lately they usually have what I need at a reasonable price. Stores gotten alot better. Could barely find help. But it's better.”
“The first time I've been to Michaels is with a group of people from JCC. I looked inside and it's just your ordinary arts and crafts store. I got to admit that it does have a good selection of items. ? I see a lot of pens, pencils, markers, highlighters, construction paper, rulers, and a lot of fake plants.??? They also have stuff for Valentine's Day and Easter this year. ??? There is candles, yarn and garden decorations for your home and backyard. ? Some of it is cheap and expensive but if it's worth it, go ahead and buy to your heart's content. You can also get chocolate, candy and chips here too. ???? This place is like Dollar tree but it's a little bit expensive.?”
“Great store! I needed so much help trying to figure out MTG and the staff went above and beyond! Not only did I get a rundown of all the different packs and prices BUT she also told me about all the different playing formats. The store felt super welcoming and I can't wait to go again! Hopefully with a bit more luck when it comes to packs!”
“I recently stopped in to see if I had valuable coins and jewelry. Richard was a pleasure to deal with. He looked through everything I had and gave me a fair price. If you have coins and jewelry I would take them here!”
