Went to deli counter early afternoon on Saturday 3/9. Two women working were ridiculously slow. Unbelievably slow. One was more interested in talking to another BJ worker than doing her job. Both deli workers should be re-assigned and not working at the deli. The wait line was well over an hour! I took a ticket, did all my other shopping and came back and waited over 30 minutes. Fortunately, another male worker came and was great. Otherwise I would’ve waited a lot longer. This location needs a new deli manager. The rest of my visit was very good. The rest of the staff was doing their job diligently.

If I could give zero stars I would. This place is absolutely trash. The shoppers are rude and entitled. The deli counter decided to not use numbers tonight and based customers waiting on honor system. I grabbed a number and when I went up (after waiting for 15 minutes) this lady started a fight with me. Mind you, I had a number ahead of her number because she grabbed one also. She stated that because I walked away I gave my spot up. The realissue is the store and how it’s mismanaged. The deli department should use the number system when 10 People are waiting. Had they done that we wouldn’t have people starting fights. They also only have one person who works behind the deli counter. It’s a totally mismanaged store setting their employees up for failure! Management definitely needs training on how to manage a store of that size and make sure they have more than one person in the deli department. I just rejoined and sorry I did. I willNever go back to this store again. It’s trash!

We went here very early in the day and found that is the best time of day! Even though it was fairly busy we weren’t over crowded. The location is very accessible, I use an electronic scooter to get around. It is difficult to get into the bathroom and the handicap stall is all the way at the end of the bathroom. They definitely have good deals here. We are able to stock up on just household items. We always fill up on gas while we are here. The cashier was very nice and helpful. The one item that they stopped carrying that is very disappointing are icy hot patches.

Love going there. A lot of seasonal things plus great prices.

I went in today to purchase a blue tooth speaker I’d been searching for because I found out BJs had it on sale. There were more than enough, grabbed one and came home. Later tonight my son and me opened up the box to test it out. Upon him unwrapping it I noticed there was no handle. Then asked, “where are the wheels?”. I turned the speaker around and notice the speaker label was wrong. It said JBL 300 not JBL 310. As I’m checking to make sure I’m not crazy my son says, “why is it all scratched?”. Reality hits, it’s a used different speaker in the correct box. We packed it back up, I grabbed my receipt and membership card and headed back to the store. Shame on me, I guess, for being a honest person and explaining the whole truth. I was told a manager would be needed to approve the return because the item didn’t match the box and because it was a high ticket item. The manager informed me that they would take my information and I would have to wait for a Randall to call me to go over the situation and get my money back. More than once I clarified I wasn’t trying to get money, I just wanted the speaker I came out in my day off in the snow for. Our family has been long time members and spend all too much money every two weeks in this store. I am beyond disappointed.

This specific location has gone downhill so quickly. A couple weeks ago while checking out at the register, a fight broke out at the customer service desk. We couldn't get out fast enough. Today I placed a order for pickup and didn't realize until I got home that the cauliflower expired on December 26th. It was buried under my other items and unfortunately I trusted them to not sell me something expired for days and black in color. Whoever picked this out needs to visit the Optometrist onsite because they have to be blind. When I called them up to let them know, you hit the number for member services and they pick up, say nothing and place you on neverending hold I'm so done with this dirty location. Whoever manages this specific location, well, they shouldn't.

Today I watched while some large out of shape white man at the exot door chased down and racially profiled a colored woman and her husband screaming to terminate the membership they had with no grounds cause they ain't want the paid for groceries to defrost in the rear of a long line cause he was talking to customers long time instead of checking receipts. Insane! I hope they take BJ's to court!

I generally like BJs, but hiding undesirable slices behind the wrapping and inside the pre-packaged lunch meat is not customer-friendly.

Absolutely terrible experience. Christina from the deli has a nasty attitude and if you are a person of color you will experience microagression with her. I was waiting for 30 minutes for the deli and she wasn’t doing anything but weighing paper towels, yes paper towels. And I expressed to her that I was in like for 30 minutes and if she could help me and she automatically gave nasty responses such as “well I just came back from my 15 minute break I didn’t see you” and I told her I can ensure her that I was. Then she proceeded to give me PRESLICED CHEESE and I said why would I wait this long for presliced and she said “well you’re in such a rush”. I was in complete shock. Even the people around me were disgusted with her attitude. Then I asked for three quarters of a pound and she gave me 0.60 and I asked her if she could add more and she replied “you already have this whole thing, two more slices won’t make a difference”. I told her to do what I asked her to do and I don’t need her input and she looked over at her coworker and said “these customers are acting crazy today”. She was absolutely ridiculous and has NO CLASS whatsoever. I will never shop here ever again! I’m surprised she even has a job.

I wanted to give one star but ended up giving two stars because the guy James at the front was very friendly. However, the other staff I’ve interacted with has always very short with me even though I was always kind to them. There was this one older gentleman that was giving out cherry tomato samples. I couldn’t catch his name pretty sure he didn’t have name tag on. He had a cart behind him. That was empty. I asked if I could use it. He rolled his eyes and said “I guess” I didn’t think much of it however, when I was in the self checking out line, he walked past me and talked to another one of his coworkers and said “I had a customer steal my cart”. And the lady he said it to was like “of course they would do that”. I don’t think he realized. I was checking out right next to him when he said that. The tone that all the employees have there is just rude, he could’ve said no if he didn’t want to give me the cart , if he had explained that he was using it for something I would’ve said OK I really wouldn’t have mind at all. I also went there about three weeks ago and I used the main checkout line. The older cashier lady was also very rude the whole time I was trying to check out she was talking to her coworker next to her saying that she wanted to leave, complaining that she didn’t want to be there and then when she scanned one of my items I noticed it was overpriced when I had grabbed it it said $19.99 and it was ringing up for $39.99. I explain to her that it must’ve been miss labeled I’ve worked in retail before when that happens, you usually honor the price I would’ve taken a picture of the tag for her and everything, but I couldn’t even get a chance to. She had already called over the manager and asked him to rescan it and he said Yep it’s ring up as $39.99 and they didn’t even let me get a word in before she was taking it out of my cart , once she finished up with me, she left for the day. I guess she got what she wanted. James at the front is the only person that I’ve interacted with that has been kind and seems like he wanted to be there.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Placed a same day delivery order actually to be delivered the next day. Delivery time came and went, no order. Called the store to see what was going on, and was told that they had no order on record. But, I was able to see the order online. Despite having placed it over 24 hours ahead of time, the status still showed only as "created" with no further update. Finally got a "manager" on the phone who told me that Doordash stole the order and I had to call them. So I called Doordash and they say they don't know what I am talking about and that I need to call BJs back as they never received an order. So I speak to the "manager' at BJs again and he says he's going to look into it and call me back. 5 hours later, no call and no update. So I call him back, and he tells me it is an "IT" problem and that they need IT to release the order. He will call me back. I wait until this morning as I heard nothing back overnight and log in and see the order is "cancelled". So here I am 3 days later with no food for my family. Called BJ's corporate and they tell me they can't do anything about it. Not once did someone from BJ's call me back with an update. Not even an offer to waive the $14.99 service fee if I wanted to re-place the order. Customer service at it's worst. After being a customer for 25 years, I am done with BJ's. Taking my business to Sam's Club.

Unfortunately, Karen and Maria weren’t helpful at all. I needed assistance at the self checkout and Karen would see us and look away unless we waved or would go to customer service and not look at us at all. Maria passed by and told us to wait signaling with her finger, and continued to help others. I don’t know if i was being discriminated for wearing a scarf, but you should teach your employees to treat all customers the same. I’ve been to costco, sams club, and other bjs and never had someone signaling me to wait while they help everyone else or act like we don’t exist. good job deptford bjs but i’ll be making a complaint to corporate since this isn’t the first time. should definitely not be hiring people like karen and maria if you want this business to stay running at this location.

I am a former Sam’s Club member, but due to lower membership prices I switched to BJ’s and it was my very first time there today. My experience was not a good one. I put my items up in the belt to pay for them and didn’t realize I needed to put everything up on the belt. The cashier snapped at me for it & was so rude. I told her I had coupons and she was instantly annoyed that I did not have them cut from the coupon book. I just assumed that she could scan the barcodes from the book. While I was ripping them out of the book one by one she told me I was holding up her line and that I needed to pay for my items & then take my coupons to customer service. She then accused my husband of snatching the receipt from her hand which he didn’t. She then proceeded to tell us that she “was not the one to play with”. I am EXTREMELY disappointed in my time at BJ’s. However, the manager Eileen was extreme kind and sympathetic & made things right with us. If she had not done so I would have asked for my membership money back & taken my business back to Sam’s club.
