“I happened to be in the area of the 3400 block of Sansom Street today in West Philadelphia and a familiar sign caught my eye from 22 years ago; Avril 50. Avril 50 was a regular stop in my patrol days and I loved walking into the shop. Always the wonderful aroma of brewing coffees and chocolate dancing with other exotic smells and the smells of fine papers and magazines. It always felt to me like stepping from West Philadelphia into a magical pocket of Europe. As it looked exactly the same, I wondered if anything had changed in the past 22 years and as soon as I crossed the threshold, I found that it was the same - like stepping back 22 years, yet somehow I was that much older. The proprietor was still there, still the same and looking no different - something that confirmed my belief that this was a magical and wonderful pocket paradise tucked away on a small West Philadelphia street. A brief catch-up chat, a shopping bag of fine teas and a perfectly brewed double-espresso to takeaway later; I stepped back into the bright Fall sun of West Philadelphia. I found myself smiling as I sipped the espresso, happy that one of the best things for me in that neighborhood has remained unchanged for others to enjoy and to continue to discover. It will not be another 22 years before I make my way back - that is for certain.”

“Me and Harry's go way back but I hadn't been there in a while. The "new" location definitely works! The selection is still top notch and the service excellent. The upstairs lounge is more than worth the basically 2 cigar minimum purchase (technically a $25 minimum cigar purchase regardless of how many cigars). Comfortable chairs, nice electric fireplace, beverages and BYO and the Game is typically on one of the two TV's which aren't super loud - it's nice to actually have a conversation or a quiet smoke.Speaking of a good smoke, the ventilation is excellent, which means you not only have comfort but get to truly enjoy "your" cigar. That selection I mentioned is a very good one. The humidor is very well stocked and covers every palate from the newbie to the true connoisseur.I'm biased but speaking as objectively as possible, it's one of the best little cigar shops in the US.”

Haven’t had a bad pick yet and the Oscar has definitely been the best he turned me on to! “So was told by a good friend to visit Ms Heather at Tooties. I wanted a breakfast sandwich (it was 830am) and was told that they are in process of renovating. No problem I ordered a Turkey Hoagie instead. What a great sandwich!! Being in the business of cooking for 43+ yrs it's easy to pick a simple hoagie apart. Not hereRoll was perfect lettuce ratio was on point (hate it when a sandwich has a salad in middle) and to top it all off...RED onion!!No hoagie should have anything but RED onion. Shame I can't give 10 stars cause it was that good!! Fixing to get another one rt now!! Best in Gloucester City!!”

They are so friendly and knowledgeable about their products and they make it such a welcoming environment so I’m never nervous about having to ask questions about things I don’t know. They always put a smile on my face! The store itself is super clean and organized and they have the best products for cbd, smoking stuff and glassware. And if they don’t have it they’ll help you find it. Just a 12/10 place!! The manager Q is also very friendly and knowledgeable about any questions I have and is always willing to go above and beyond to help.
