“i frequent this thrift store, and it’s definitely one of my favorites in the area. the employees are all super kind and friendly. the only things i will say, sometimes the prices are too high, and you will see items sit for a long time because of that. the other thing is, the women’s racks get over stocked, which makes it very difficult to browse through. items will come off the hanger, especially tank tops, or they get tangled. it ends up being more work for the employees in the long run to fix. i think they should add more clothing racks for the women’s clothes. and if you lower the prices, things will move faster, and you won’t have that problem. sometimes i skip looking through racks that are too stuffed.

overall, better than goodwill! and the money you spend actually does help people.”

“Adopting Jake (formerly Doxy) from One Step Closer Animal Rescue was a wonderful experience. The staff’s dedication to rescuing animals from kill shelters and matching them with the right families is evident. They were transparent about Jake’s history of abuse, ensuring we were prepared for his needs. The adoption process was thorough, and their care ensured Jake was healthy and ready for his new home. Jake has thrived with us, and I highly recommend O.S.C.A.R. for their passion and commitment to animal welfare.”

“The volunteers of Eleventh Hour Rescue do such incredible work. They truly care about the welfare of the precious, displaced animals which are under their care.

The shelter is quite large and well kept, and there are many areas for the dogs to get exercise as they await their new homes.

We had two rescures already and were looking for a third. It took a couple of months of searching and submitting applications. Then we found Cody, submitted the application, and were able to meet the upcoming weekend. It was very reassuring when the staff wanted to have our dogs get familiar with Cody before going through with the paperwork. We spent about an hour taking the dogs first on a walk and then moved to their fenced areas for another 40 minutes or so. They were rambunctious at first but adjusted to each other quickly, their staff were around to keep the dogs safe and from getting too crazy with each other. Once we knew he was a match we had another 15 minutes of paperwork and were on our way home again.

I wouldn't call this a negative - but their policies for adopting are more strict than other shelters I've rescued from in the past and takes a little preparation. All of the references we gave were contacted. Once you arrive, certain types of leads/collars are required for the animal you're adopting and for dogs you may bring with you. It's not a huge deal if you're aware and prepared. I admire their principals, steadfastness, and caution when it comes to welcoming a new family member.

I cannot thank the EHR team enough for bringing our pal home.”

“A blonde worker (whose name I forgot to ask for) approached me and held up some clothing making suggestions. A very sweet interaction. While running the register and the sales floor, she also informed me where the deal of the day tagged items were.
When we got to the register her mood seemed to do a 180 and she seemed down and like she was trying to take care of a million different things(if you work retail—you know), (and other reviews have noted this same thing happening with what I’m assuming is this same person, actually) but nonetheless, she still made me want to return to this location.

My complaint really falls on what appeared to be a staffing issue. A suggestion: hire more people so this woman can continue to drive up sales. Running around the store (while I’m assuming the other workers have their head down) obviously exhausted her. She went from smiley to looking really exhausted in a matter of 10 minutes.

If you don’t take care of your workers, they will move on to somewhere where they are appreciated. I hope she finds a good spot because she was probably one of the nicest workers I’d interacted with in a LONG time… just so disappointing to see her running the store by herself while seeing other workers not bother to help her.

AND most of the clothing she suggested, we bought. I’m so sorry for not being able to give her credit. It was Thursday May 29th at about 12 PM if you can look up who was working that day.

If you read until here; retail workers sometimes are working long hours, with other workers that don’t care and they probably get yelled at AT LEAST once per day. Remember that before you’re quick to write something damaging… could end up being their job.
And no it is not OK for people to be rude to each other, but remember that if someone isn’t giving you 110% it could be for a good reason…especially at a super busy GoodWill.

My heart goes out to that super nice person. I hope things change for you!! Thank you for being awesome!!!! (:”

“I love this place. The babysitting room is so amazing and my daughter absolutely loves coming here for her swim lessons and other activities. As a hardworking father it’s relieving knowing my daughter is having fun and in good safe hands while I get a little “me time” to finally get myself back into shape and relax in the sauna and steam room. This place is clean, extremely friendly and family oriented. 10/10 in my eyes”
