“Unfortunately I don’t know her name. Was there today Wednesday Sept 17 th approximately 3pm. She was soooo nice, and sooo helpful. Moved to Rockaway 6 months ago and still trying to find our way around. Have been in post office before but never met this very kind and knowledgeable lady. I was a little frustrated with the day I had and had to get a money order which I didn’t know bank does not do.They told me to go to post office. So I proceeded to post office. She was soooo nice and helpful. Didn’t know what to expect because being new in the area I thought “ great another aggravating situation “. Just want to make sure you know who I’m speaking of. again Sept 17th about 3PM. She was soooo nice great, helpful and felt Rockaway may have been a good move. Thank you sooo much postal worker on that day and time.”
“Although this location is small and has minimal services, the woman clerk here is very professional and respectful. She should train others, like the woman clerk in Hopatcong, how to treat people.”

My husband and I went there seeking assistance with a problem we were experiencing—and they certainly did help us! The young woman who assisted us was a very kind and patient person, providing excellent customer service. Thank you so much; the service was truly outstanding. If I could give a thousand stars for such great service, I would.”

“Shawnt’e was extremely polite and helpful today! She hands down gave my girlfriend the best customer experience to date with the post office. She provided excellent service and possessed the knowledge to make sure our package arrived at the time we needed it to. And at the best possible price. We were quoted as having to spend almost $200, to have the same delivery service done by FedEx. We spent nowhere near that, and our package is expected to be there exactly when we want it to. Supervisor Catherine Homere and postal worker Jinette were both extremely professional and kind. Catherine was very helpful and patient resolving my issue, and Jinette provided quick and friendly assistance at the counter. It’s always a pleasure visiting this location — great teamwork and customer care!”

The automated phone system is efficient despite being impersonal—I had a mail issue resolved quickly through an online form. Staff here used to feel cold and indifferent, but there’s been a noticeable shift lately. A kind older Asian woman who rotates between locations brings warmth to the service. Staff turnover seems high, and while they may be short-staffed, hiring doesn’t appear active.
Lines vary depending on the time and customer behavior, but I usually wait no more than 10 minutes. If the parking lot is full, expect a wait. The space is functional, though envelope selection is more limited than other nearby offices.”
