“Had a battery issue with my AMG after installing an aftermarket screen, team diagnosed the issue quickly (faulty battery) and replaced in 30-45 minutes tops. Took me in for a quick visit with 1 days notice which is unheard of vs the manufacturer service centers. Highly recommend the shop.”
“My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Aamco Transmissions & Total Car Care in Metuchen. After having been totally ignored for 3 days at a local dealer and sadly realizing our car needed a transmission, I read the great reviews about Craig at Aamco and believed good things must be happening there. We had our car towed there and were so happy we did. Once we contacted Craig at Aamco, our situation changed dramatically. Craig was extremely responsive, did an immediate diagnostic test and clearly explained what needed to be done. His price was very fair. His staff THOROUGHLY looked over the car, found a few things that also needed fixing and did them without charging us extra. We couldn't be happier. Craig definitely takes pride in his work and business and strives for customer satisfaction. What more could you ask for?”

“If you are ever in need of a new transmission, I highly recommend Varga Auto Repair and Transmission Center! I made the unfortunate choice of purchasing a 2016 Chevrolet Traverse, all of which only have a transmission life of approximately only 60,000 miles! Not only did the company refuse to take accountability for their defective product, but the dealership also wanted to charge me an exorbitant price to replace it! Thank God I found Frank at Varga, who was so compassionate, concerned, knowledgeable and supportive! In addition, he was very willing to help me out for a cost so much less than my own greedy dealership! I am so very grateful for Frank, and I would never ever even think of going to anyone else in the future!”

“I've had years of dealing with fluid leaks from my 2006 Honda V-6 2dr cpe. After I moved this summer(2023) to Plainfield, inquiries at service stations and auto parts stores led me to Sal's Fanwood Auto Transmissions. Three leaks, one requiring dropping the transmission to replace a seal, were cured. All repairs were within estimates that were well below others offered "back down south." I'll add it was a pleasure doing business there and talking with Sal and "the crew."”

“I had an emergency situation. The engine on my main car blew. I had a car that was supposed to be a project for my son, but had no choice but to get it fixed quick. Sadly, I went to go to my longtime mechanic and found that he had passed away recently. I brought it here to Majestic and he had diagnosed everything and repaired it very quickly. I didn't even miss one day of work. I was scared that the price was going to be outrageous because of the great work that was done but it was not. I will be going here from now on, I found a new mechanic.”

So far my car is running like new. It's wonderful.

“I brought my car in because it was making an odd noise. I described it to the mechanic. he suggested driving around the block so he could hear it. The noise was gone - I hadn't heard it since before a trip on the turnpike this morning. His estimation is that there was some kind of debris stuck under the car and that it had probably dislodged. Cost: Zero!”
“Unfortunately my transfer case broke one night on my way home from work in mid September 2021. I had AAA tow it to a local shop. That guy didn’t have the capability to fix it so he sent it to a well known franchise transmission shop who’s initials are LM. Well LM gave me a quote of $3000 to fix the broken transfer case with a 30 day guarantee! Me not knowing much about cars knew that was a very bad deal. I then reached out to my cousin who works at a Chevrolet dealership (I have a Chevy) to see if I could purchase the part from him. I could but with the supply chain issue, the part wouldn’t be available until mid November (a 2 month wait). I relayed this message to LM and he told me I had to have my car towed back to my house until the part came in. Problem with that is I don’t have driveway parking and wouldn’t be able to move the car if needed (such as for the never ending street repairs or snow). I asked him to give me a day to figure out what I could do. The next day I got very busy and didn’t get to figure something out. Late afternoon, LM called and said he had put my car on the street and in Union where he is located, there is no overnight parking so the car will be impounded. I googled “Transmission Shops” and found Dr. Marv’s. He had great reviews so I called him. I explained about the 2 month wait for the part and asked if he would be able to store my car. They said yes and couldn’t have been nicer! So I had the car towed to Dr. Marv’s! More supply chain issues and my part didn’t come in until the end of January 2022. I kept Dr. Marv’s informed of this. As soon as the part was received by them, my car was fixed a day later! Not only did they do a terrific job but between the cost of the new part and the installation by Dr. Marv’s, my cost was far less than the $3000 quote from the other transmission shop! I would highly, highly, highly recommend Dr. Marv’s!Service: Transmission”

“I went in with a punctured tire. They let me know I’ll need a new tire and they didn’t have it in stock. They could order it but it could take 2hours or more for it to deliver to their shop. Instead they asked if I’d like to use my spare considering I already have one. They changed it as a courtesy for me. So appreciate it!”
“Our Ford Taurus 2005 AC didn’t work. They got us in right away and told us we needed to recharge the AC and refill the coolant. We then also noticed a leak that needed another part. He offered to order the part for us, and I asked if we could buy it somewhere and bring it back so we could get the car done the same day. He called a shop to see if the part was in, and then actually sent one of his guys to go get the part for us. When the guy came back he put the part in for us and then was just gonna charge us for the part $13 , but we paid a bit extra because they went and got it for us so we could get the car back same day. Overall great experience. They are located at 42 Morris Turnpike now, at the Sunoco Gad station in SummitService: Auto A/C recharge”
