“They had the sweetest staffs and love the vibes! I got a piece of free chocolate upon entering the store, which was totally unexpected! Love the vibes and variety of merch available!”

“If you’re in NYC and love exceptional chocolate, Versano’s Chocolates is an absolute gem. The owner always goes above and beyond to help me with special orders, and everything is completed right on time. The quality is outstanding, especially the white chocolate, which I gift to my husband every year. He says it’s the best white chocolate he’s ever had!
Five stars for both quality and service. I highly recommend Versano’s Chocolates to anyone looking for something truly special.”
“This was my 1st time there & was extremely satisfied. I bought 3, 1 pound boxes of mixed chocolates for Christmas gifts. The service was terrific & very helpful. The gift recipients raved about the chocolates. I will definitely be back and highly recommend.”
“Amazing candy store sitting right under your nose in Bushwick! These place has close to everything from vintage candy to the new candy innovations. It’s absolutely worth checking out!”
“Been going to Schmidt’s for years and years. Margie and Flo are two of my favorite people. I was going in there when her grandfather was serving ice cream. I always get portions of candy for presents. GREAT PLACE.”
“The chocolate here is truly the best! They have homemade Dubai bars that are worth every penny! The owner is local and a real sweet lady. You can tell she cares about the product and her customers. When you want to give a special gift, this is the place to go!!!”
“Absolutely love this store it’s huge has multiple floors. Has a customization area for create your own m&ms. Staff was amazing, very friendly. I can’t wait to come back I bought a mini dispenser for m&ms I love it!!!!”
“My boyfriend ordered these online after a coworker brought some in, and he loved them so much that he ordered me a box to ask me to be his Valentine. We enjoyed most of the assortment, but the chocolate marzipan was awful. It genuinely tasted like soap and perfume. Aside from that, the chocolate was great.”

“Heard about LST from my sister and it definitely lives up to the hype. I’m stocking up to bring some home to my partner in California and everything from the taste to the set up is well done. Allison helped me today and she was kind, sweet, and helpful with all my questions. My favorite strawberry marshmallow is a fan favorite so they were out today but Allison informed me I could order on the website as well. Thank you!”
“Wonderful place to buy all kinds of special coffee. The service was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and patiently helped us decide which coffee to buy. We're definitely coming back for more.”
“Biggie's is great! The owners are super lovely and run it themselves. Their dog, Biggie, is super cute. Often there's people playing chess outside- it's pretty rad.
Inside is a vintage lovers paradise, or more specifically, a vintage smokers dream. They specialize in refurbishing old lighters, ash trays, and smoking sets. Trust me, they're awesome. If you're not a smoker, they have old magazines, game sets, and old-style soda. If you'd like to become a smoker but are scared, they have candy cigarettes. Sick!
Anyway, I like to pop by whenever I'm in the neighborhood. You should pop in, too.”
“All I can say is WOW! Absolutely phenomenal this store is beautiful & inviting on all levels.
The sales associate (TARA) she was incredible & her expertise & her welcoming nature. It was my very first time visiting the store on Saturday March 15th in the evening around 6ish. The crowd was busy but (TARA) made everyone feel so welcome even when she was busy she kept her composure & with a great beautiful smile on her face she took care of everyone there. I can talk on & on about this fantastic place & the customer service is top tier.
I will absolutely return back!!
Thank you Tara for making my experience Wonderful!!”
“This place has three levels of candy. Literally every candy you can possibly want is here located at IT’S SUGAR. There is so much to choose from and great variety. I think I was more excited than the kids.”
“Great local deli/convenience store. Has pretty much all you need (toiletries, food, random household stuff) plus the guys are friendly and welcoming!
Only thing I’d change is a better snack selection, but I mostly come here for food so it’s no big deal.”

“The mini cakes (Viennese box) were incredibly delicious and made a show stopper presentation as a star of our garden party! (Many asked where from...) we also enjoyed the box of dairy fancy chocolates...each one was so tasty and magnificent. Highly recommended! Great customer service.”
“10/10 staff is as sweet as the chocolate! There’s so many choices for the Lindt lindor chocolate balls (probably not the right name haha) and so many gift boxes!!! I believe we were helped by Zina who was extra sweet!”
“Ray is an East Village celebrity. Originally from Iran, Ray jumped overboard a Navy ship to swim away to a new life in the United States. He started the shop in the 70s and has been around ever since. Even when Ray recently sustained an assault, he went right back to work. This institution offers various soft serve, fries, fried Oreos, hotdogs, chili dogs, egg creams, onion rings. Any number of fried foods one might eat after a drunken soirée. Someone commented on his Instagram page, “no one has seen me drunker than this man.” Most things are 7-10 dollars, though there are a few things that are more expensive, like 16 dollars or so. Pretty sure Ray is cash only. Ray still works the spot. He’s about to turn 91. If you want to see him, get on with it. New York changes all the time. One day you might show up, and Ray will be gone. Don’t miss your chance to experience this icon.”

“Absolutely love this Royce Chocolate location. The chocolate is incredibly smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced—not overly sweet, just pure quality. Every piece feels thoughtfully made and truly indulgent.
The staff at the Bryant Park shop were friendly, patient, and happy to explain the different options, which made the experience even better. It’s the perfect stop for a gift or a little treat for yourself while walking through the area.
If you’re a chocolate lover, this place is a must. Consistently excellent and always a pleasure to visit.”
“I had my daughter's Bridal Shower at Matisse Chocolatier in Englewood this past weekend and it was a huge success! The owner Lucille, and manager Nija, couldn't have been any nicer, more hospitable, or more helpful throughout the party. It's a GREAT venue for a bridal shower. The bride as well as all the guests absolutely loved the idea of being there for a bridal shower, as it was so different from a typical shower venue. Everyone had so much fun making chocolate, interacting with one another, and of course the chocolate was delicious! I would DEFINITELY recommend Matisse Chocolatiers for your next party, and/or social event.”

“I purchased a 1lb box of assorted chocolates. I bought it as a hostess gift for Thanksgiving. Our host had lived on the west coast for years and was ecstatic. Apparently, she did not know there is a store in Manhattan. She will be visiting!”
“The staff here is really friendly, polite and helpful. I went there as I needed a personalized piñata. The piñata they made was beautiful my kid loved it. I would highly recommend it and will definitely be going back.”
“Loved this 5 and below, the workers were super kind and i knew if i needed help with anything they were ready to assist. I also received compliments from the workers which brightened my day! Also the store is nicely organized compared to other 5 and belows and there is loads of self checkout machines with workers available to help you. My only critique is the location of the store but there’s not much you can do about a not so perfect area.”

“The manager is amazing, I may be misspelling it and I apologize but her name is Kemei, she was the sweetest and efficient, the store was also in pristine condition and fully stocked and I’ve seen some crazy five below’s this was by far the best !!”
“It's exactly what you love about a mom n pop shop. Small intimate and straight to the point. Best $1+ sandwiches NEXT TO HAAJI'S (Currently Blue Sky Deli on 110th n 1st ave) literally Marys candy store been around for so long I pray they never go out of business !! Literally a staple in the east Harlem community. I have been going here since I was in 6years old in PS 102, I'm so lucky my grandma still live in the area and I now work close by so I can enjoy a treat or 3. Now my daughter can also enjoy Sandwiches from here too. I'm actually on my way right now lol♥️♥️♥️♥️ see you soon ?????y'all are the best.”
“I love Harlem Chocolate Factory! The chocolates are unique, delicious and memorable, and are worth the trip from wherever you happen to be in the city. I have gone out of my way on multiple occasions to visit during their opening hours just to purchase their truffles, and I often bring folks with me or purchase their chocolate for others. The response is always the same (some version of "omg these are amazing!"). The staff is also lovely and lively - I have yet to meet a sad or sulky person working the counter. It's a small shop but an enjoyable experience. I have tried virtually everything they sell except maybe a few of the bars, and I have not once been disappointed. Try them and thank me later.
Parking: There is no dedicated parking - there is street parking and a few paid garages in the area.”
“Awesome shop for Chocolates and assorted Candies. The real treat is the custom made displays like Chocolate Cornucopia with Assorted Cookies, the Chocolate Santa Sleigh with Assorted Cookies, or the Chocolate Snowman with Assorted Cookies.”
“Absolutely loved my first visit to ROYCE Chocolate! Suzzane was fantastic. She helped me pick out delicious chocolate gifts that my family absolutely loved, and she wrapped everything beautifully. The experience was wonderful from start to finish. Highly recommend!!”
